It's such a game isn't it?

The drop on all the sector is disproportionate to the trading.I don't for one second think loads of funds/folk suddenly heard the GDP,were completely unaware they were going to be poor,and rang their brokers to sell,sell,sell immediately.

Usual easy money for the MM's etc and hedgies to try and drag it in the direction they want.

Yes but in the herd reaction lies opportunity. Back up to level almost as soon as TW. fell - stocks on the rise recover fast from these spikes.
