I see that house prices last month rose due to supply shortage.
Down 5% from this mornings highs, hopefully we will see a re-test this afternoon

More simply - they tell sellers whatever lies it takes to get the business - then when it doesn't sell, tell you to cut your price by 5-10%

Estate agencies and those flaming over the top valuations, that's what's helped cause this mess.... Pricing houses way above inflation.

Surely you wouldn't believe an estate agency valuation? You can't be that thick

Quite right about the double top.

The price does need to move above 35p to take us on upwards and I would put money, as I have, that it will move above this price.

But as I said the jury is out!

Can't see 80p myself but who knows if there was a bid.

lidlow. Worth. But it does seem the price has gone up. We had 3 agents value it a year ago and now,and they have all come back with much higher valuations.

The Elliot Wave thing is possible - I don't really follow it, but it is surprising how often it seems to appear in charts. Basically a rise off a low, pull back, a rise beyond rise 1, a pull back and then the fifth wave up to wherever.

We're seeing that above, but the fifth wave is now becoming a bit of a double top (very early days) around 35p.

And a bid for 80p. Erm, OK, I'll take it. All entertaining stuff until tomorrow.

I am just in the process of selling a flat in the UK. It was valued at 128k 1 year ago. Now worth 139,950. It was the same agent

I bought in on Friday at 34p following a call last week from a contact in Asia who said there were whispers going around of an 80p bid.

I had been watching the share price action and volume of trades and Friday's move gave me the signal to buy.

I am a keen supporter and user of the Elliot Wave theory. There is an interesting chart pattern developing which if you follow this theory you will know involves a 5-wave formation.

It would appear we are in the 5th upward leg which could take us close to 40p.

The question then is whether the price retreats back below 33p which could lead us right back to 28p or if the price continues to move upwards in another 5 leg series.

The jury is out at the present time.

Not before the bloody thing times me out - but can anyone manage it in the available 0.005 seconds?

This may have just caused the pull back in the last 30 minutes. Guess some will just view it as a buying opportunity.

NB - the apparently healthy chart above masks a longer term mess, clouded further by the rights issue. So all a bit meaningless, imho:

Some good performances over recent weeks by the US Housebuilders - you can see them on spob's thread - not least on Friday after we closed.

All helps...
