Bellway sees selling prices higher in first half
By BFN News | 12:30 PM | Friday 07 January, 2011
Bellway PLC ORD 12.5P (BWY)

Housebuilder Bellway plc expects its first-half selling prices to edge up, chairman Howard Dawe told the AGM today (Jan 7). Dawe said Bellway still anticipated that unit completions in the six months to January 31 would be similar to those of last year but at slightly higher average selling prices. The outcome for the year to end-July would depend on the level of consumer confidence during the spring selling season. 'The board believes that Bellway continues to be well positioned in what is still a tough and testing market for UK housebuilding.' Bellway announced it had renewed a borrowing facility with one of its major bankers. The previous unexpired facility of £75m, due to expire between April 2011 and January 2012, has been replaced by a new facility of £150m which will be due to expire in tranches from January 2012 to December 2015. The group said it currently had combined facilities of £380m which, with no significant change in banking covenants, further strengthened its ability to acquire land at attractive margins. Group commercial director Peter Stoker, 54, has decided to retire from the board at the end of July. Southern regional chairman Ted Ayres, 48, will join the board as operations director on August 1.

A pre-close trading update will be issued on Monday, February 7, following conclusion of the six-month period ending January 31.

Bellway shares were down 13p at 687p. Story provided by StockMarketWire.com

will need to rise to around 40/45p initially for the cup formation then fall away slightly to make the handle. That's my guess by having a quick browse of the chart in the header.

You've got to laugh at Panmure haven't you? consistently wrong and yet they plough on with the same determined oblivion to their track record.

Meanwhile they have been losing their own money hand over fist, never mind the bum steers they've been giving their clients.

Shaws37 you keep drawing just one channel in the secondary mode you need to draw another line in the primary mode, the share price could easily jump up into this channel,it starts from the first rise November.
