Hopefully not doing any chicken counting, but if nothing else, today's dip from the off means there's no gap at this level:

Need to see this extend on through 29 for another higher high - the pullback was expected, and is a good thing for the long term, but a lower high now would be a good incentive for the sellers to pile back in.

Still, it's Xmas, eh?

Myra Butterworth at the Telegraph still tirelessly trying to single-handedly panic the UK economy into a housing collapse.

Some quality journalism.Look at this gem

'Today's report warns that if the Bank Rate rose to 5 per cent, and banks maintained their current profit margins, households would spend more of their disposable income on mortgage interest costs than at any point in the last 20 years.'

So, if interest rates went up 10 fold it would make life difficult for everybody!

There are no flies on Myra [nowhere in the bank report does it say interest rates are expected to rise 10 fold but why let that stop a good headline?]

I wonder at what point the Telegraph will accept that they haven't brought the UK and the coalition to its' knees in spite of their best efforts? I dare say they will just ignore all their negativity as if nothing ever happened and claim they have always been supportive.

Sir Rational re 5650

TW listed Barratt, Bellway, Bovis, Persimmon and Redrow as their main UK competitors in p 103 of their refinancing prospectus.

Last week they all rose 6-9% on Bellway's announcement of good sales post CSR

As a newbie in this segment (see 5484) I have only had time to research TW. I would be keen to hear what anyone else thinks of the others. Do they have more downside protection or more upside possibility?

I still see TW as a one way bet.
