15/10/2010 11:31 | Spenny, im still wondering if the recruitment of a joint broker is for selling off the American arm. I cant think why they would have a joint broker otherwise, unless it may be for another cash call which my gut feeling says - no. Any thoughts ? | shaws37
15/10/2010 11:01 | "Unless they cant refinance their debt." That will never happen. Firstly are banks really going to want to write off another £600m of bad debt onto their books? In situations like this the banks aren't as in control as you might think. Secondly, companies like Yell have debt mountains at many times their market cap and had no issues as such in refinancing their debt. Thirdly, any sale or separate listing of the US division will all but wipe out TW's debt and will most likely put them in the black with leaner UK operations. | spennysimmo
15/10/2010 10:49 | Not sure why it would fold now as it had the perfect chance when it fell to 4p. Unless they cant refinance their debt. | shaws37

15/10/2010 10:46 | Morning all. Have had a small position in these for a while now and after some positive momentum on other holdings i am keen to start rebuilding my portfolio after being slaughtered over the last few years. I am an investor and not a trader and consider that in the long term TW has massive upside potential. Barring collapse of the company this seems a long term no brainer. I am a little concerned about TW hanging in till the housing market picks up fully again. What are the chances of this company folding is my question. | clarky5150
15/10/2010 09:05 | barf, its quiete possible we will drop through 25p and be closer to 20p come the 22nd, where we go after that is anyones guess. Commendable performance from the bears may I add. ;;-) | wig123 |
