It's like a fish out of water when its' up isn't it? doesn't know how to behave and keeps looking at the opening price as an anchor with a longing look and would much rather be back there or below than this uncomfortable and painful rising business.

Not at all convincing.Up under sufferance I'd say.

Only up because it feels obliged with the FTSE going well.

It'll be down by mid morning I expect.

The FTSE has found another cliff to dive off and TW is eager to follow it lemming style.

If only TW followed it when it went the other way.

"Talk of a double dip, with the implication being that the market will see double-digit house price falls, is over-done despite the weak outlook for demand. We expect a slowdown in the volume of homes coming to the market to limit the scale of absolute price falls over the next 12 months."

There was a good bit in the weekend press about how the fella from the council of mortgage lenders had a pop at all the doom mongers with their constant talk of double dips but strangely enough it didn't get reported widely.

Where to today? slight rise at the off and then a pullback to end the day just about where we start?

British house prices rose at their slowest annual rate in 7 months in September, as prices fell monthly in all regions for the first time in almost 1-1/2 years, according to a survey on Monday by property data firm Hometrack.

Hometrack said house prices were up 1 percent compared with a year ago in September, after an annual rise of 1.5 percent in August.

That sort of report must really irritate all the double dip monkeys with their constant bleating.
