It is still niggling at me why TW would appoint a joint broker. To broker what? Sale of US division? Flotation of US division? RI?

They wouldn't appoint another broker to do nothing.

Familiar ground once again.MM's taking the offer down while buying is going on.

At least we are faring slightly better than BDEV today which I haven't been able to say for a long time.

........and this is while the FTSE is up!

Over here in Spain you can still get 100% mortgages from the banks with no problems at all as long as you buy one of their repossession. That said you can't get one for a new build or resale even if you have 50% to put down in a lot of cases. The UK banks should also be offering 100% for first time buyers IMO. No one has ever lost money long term on property. That's a fact.

Don't be too surprised to learn that MM's etc read these threads and boards.

I've said before about a mate of mine who got a verbal price from his broker on a smaller stock and posted on these boards that he was coming in for a lump. When he rang his broker back within minutes the price had gone up 15% and when he asked the broker why,as no trades had happened since his verbal quote he was told 'well, you posted up on the boards that you were going to buy so the MM has upped the price'

They watch.
