Given that land prices are unlikely to fall significantly ("buy land, they're not making it anymore" - Mark Twain), I suppose we can take some solace from that fact that the share price is now pretty much the same as the NAV.

Literally no premium for brand, potential, established market share, corporate structure nor anything else. It produces a 6% yield but is priced at break up value.

This is either ridiculous or has already priced in some sort of imminent economic disaster. Otherwise it is all a bit odd.

JUGEARS You completley missed the point i have been trying to make. If you have got a cake which stays the same size, and is divided into slices if the person that has been having the lions share ie housing is forced to share it more equally, what do you think is going to happen, and please answer the question withought too much sarcasm.

MV, if you know anything about the industry, which clearly you don't,you would know that the handful of large national house builders have good cash & land reserves , unfortunately the smaller regional builders tend not to have this to fall back on, Whilst things are exceptionally good at the moment but any down turn is most likely to see the smaller underfunded regional builders go to the wall as always seems to happen in past recessions! I could name half a dozen firms that I think will go to the wall this year, but if you have done your own research then you don't need me to tell you who they are, do you

looking at the performance of some of its smaller rivals will be having even more market share soon as I expect several smaller hb's to fold very soon.

WOW, HB's are going to fold soon, do you have any names in mind Jugears, I thought things were all rosey in the sector?

I think our "wide awake" dairy farmer may have a clearer view of the situation than some on here.

I see the midnight milkman is back lol, If your taking tips from a paper then you really aren't doing your home work, people that recommend shares have an incentive to do so, as do the doom mongers that come on here. Look at the fundamentals here, well managed, very cheap, one of only a handful of large house builders that provide most of the uk needs & looking at the performance of some of its smaller rivals will be having even more market share soon as I expect several smaller hb's to fold very soon.

Don't assume it's only about the bulls, I enjoy a balanced view. One of the bulls who posts incessantly has a completely overblown opinion of him/herself. So it's not about pro or con it's about quality of content:)

I totally agree. The trolls that infect these bb's are dangerous, with their continuous bullish views, when it's blatantly obvious to most sensible people that HB's are heading a lot lower, due to the looming price correction in housing.

Tipped in Telegraph today. Also a good article by Jeremy Warner 'Why there won't be house price crash'.

Finally upbeat Vistry AGM, trading at upper end of expectations
