14/7/2020 14:14 | As the country works on a net monthly account basis, Mays figure would actually be based on April output so not really surprising or disappointing, Sikh living in the uk the bbc is my daily read & i'm more than capable or reading it word for word, lets see if my predicted 1.30 comes before a steady rise back to 1.70?, even for a trader that's a nice 30% profit. | ![]() jugears
14/7/2020 12:13 | GDP figures for May not good. UK economy rebounds more slowly than expected "Manufacturing and house building showed signs of recovery in May as some firms saw staff return to work." "The return to economic growth in May was described as "disappointing" by economists, who had expected an expansion of 5% or more." | ![]() sikhthetech

10/7/2020 12:50 | Ironically, whilst the tax reduction is a boost, the problem is the builders probably can’t build enough to meet the demand. So production will be the constraint | ![]() disneydonald

09/7/2020 12:30 | tlobs, I temporary Stamp Duty threshold increase won't help the housing market. It will, as the name suggests, be temporary... It will come down to perception, some will see it as good news and jump to buy a home, believing they are saving thousands... as to trading: you were buying after the TU when they were around 170p... when you kindly persuaded me to take a short, which is doing well.. ;-) I'm sure if you keep buying there will some trades on which you will be right.. I repeat what I said a month ago.... I DID MENTION OCT.. sikhthetech - 10 Jun 2020 - 13:15:01 tlobs2, "Sikh, sorry to spoil your day. Property sales in most of England have swiftly rebounded to the same levels they were just before the lockdown" That was expected. Haven't you seen the thousands of people in parks, seaside believing that there's absolutely nothing wrong. Just like you do. ;-) I did mention Oct onwards and when I looked today it's still June. Furlough of 9million people is still in place. Mortgage payment hols come to an end in Oct, btl investors can't evict non-payers and so can't sell their properties before end of Oct. UK could be the hardest hit "The UK is likely to be the hardest-hit by Covid-19 among major economies, a leading agency has warned." | ![]() sikhthetech

09/7/2020 11:48 | Imastu, You see your post was spot on... Everyone has different opinions on where they believe the economy and markets are going...Nothing wrong with that... I still believe we're heading for huge economic problems, stock market crash and house price falls.... It's clear the govn is as well, hence their attempts to protect jobs and to try and keep things moving post Oct.. imastu pidgitaswell8 Jul '20 - 07:56 - 240 of 258 0 1 0 And there you go - someone thinks buy and hold, someone thinks buy and sell (trading), someone else thinks sell regardless. A mini-market, if you will. Decisions according to your own perception of risks and their factoring. | ![]() sikhthetech
09/7/2020 11:41 | Very true, fair point and guilty as charged, although it was only 1 post (now 2) - just seemed odd that an on an up day, your mate, who I see as the perfect contrarian indicator (although now filtered) goes AWOL, but was in fine voice when it was down. All so very predictable. But apologies to you - I don't actually see you as one of the muppets. | ![]() imastu pidgitaswell |
