05/8/2016 18:02 | steveglobal - I seem to recall you telling us a year or two ago that you lost your shirt betting bigtime on stocks such as this and coming unstuck. Told us you had to sell your house to meet a margin call, and that your wife had forbidden you fron trading. What has changed? | grabster
04/8/2016 23:04 | I wonder what it would take to delist this company. What would you guys accept to surrender all your shares? | multiplural
01/8/2016 19:23 | no comments on the rns, once again multi was ahead of the game, hopefully now we will move forward, upside potential from here in percentage terms could be huge. | steveglobal4
31/7/2016 21:49 | Sounds like yet another staement of intent - following the various previous failed ones. Talking the talk. A bit of a yawn. As a strong EV fan I wish them well. But how much is it costing them to get out of the FDG jv? And how much IP did FDG steal? And is everything still dependent on a further injection of cash? | grabster
31/7/2016 13:49 | Interesting read at www.smithelectric.co | multiplural
28/7/2016 12:17 | From the face of it it seems to be an elegant move for Smith shareholders. I guess going into receivership in the UK leaves a lot of debt and potential liabilities there whereas the US co , where Tanfield is shareholder, have a much better chance of attracting funds and eventually get listed. From a Tanfield perspective, with their holding booked at zero, this can only be positive. | multiplural
27/7/2016 09:56 | Dan Jenkins @BrightSparks @EveningChron receivers called in yeaterday at Smith Electric Vehicles near Nissan on Wearside 9:38 am - 26 Jul 2016 Newburn, England | grabster
26/7/2016 19:36 | I would not be surprised if they would be forced to put some value on their Smith holding shortly. I hear that things seems to go in the right direction and that we might eventually end up with a modest part of a listed company in the EV space. | multiplural
26/7/2016 19:03 | Dan Jenkins one time master BS merchant for Smith. So does this also effect the Smith USA? | cool_hand
26/7/2016 18:32 | According to a former PR at Smith, looks like Smith UK have called in the receivers. Not that it should have much impact with the investment being valued at nil. | sunderlandchap83
25/7/2016 09:29 | Yep. Directors milking it to death seems one possible scenario. | grabster
24/7/2016 12:28 | The Board agreed to pay themself until the cash runs out and then ask the city for some more. Ahern will pick up the fire- sale pieces for $1. | eke
20/7/2016 15:46 | Hot off the press: Tanfield announces that, at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held earlier today, all resolutions were duly passed. | orange1
12/7/2016 15:27 | well ive bought more today and plan on having more still, every single bit of profit elsewhere is now going into this at any price under 18p as it comes in | steveglobal4
12/7/2016 15:10 | I don't know if an offer is imminent. But if Ahern have sane financial advice he should buy the company now rather than the 49% of Snorkel. Even at the 27p per share our board calculates as fair book value now, we are talking a huge discount to the contractual price. If hit the price for Snorkel alone should be a minimum of 42p per share. On top I doubt that Smith has no value. I am sure the depressed price the last couple of weeks stemms from some international investor that dumped any UK holdings in the portfolio. Unfortunately a name like Tanfield just don't have the market liquidity to take a huge dump like that. | multiplural
12/7/2016 14:52 | pound is rising, if any offer is coming it has to be now surely before adhern miss the boat of the currency advantage | steveglobal4
07/7/2016 09:59 | Interesting interview with Snorkel management: | multiplural
07/7/2016 08:27 | Do not understand the logic - its all about when Ahern buys out the remainder of Snorkel and for how much! I would suggest at multiples of the 14p. | jam2day
07/7/2016 08:09 | steve - remember when I used to trade northgate - unfortunately, tanfield doesn't inspire confidence. Raising money is difficult at the moment and in the future the equity will get cheaper. imho | targatarga
07/7/2016 07:59 | Of course they were told something. And believed it. Like many a loser before them. | grabster
05/7/2016 22:55 | Steve, the price was actually 14,50 p and yes it will be a nice winner. | multiplural
05/7/2016 19:23 | the placement was at 14p recently, these people that brought in at this privilege price must have been told something. | steveglobal4
05/7/2016 06:22 | steve -you are a glutton for punishment! Shareholders in this company will imo be milked to death, and will see very little of any Snorkel proceeds. | grabster
04/7/2016 09:49 | This is very much in junk territory now. | lanarkian |
