Todays valuation will be well north of the 27p quoted below just with exchange rate alone not to mention the last 12 months growth. Ahern has integrated snorkel with Extreme and will not wait much longer before taking 100% ownership as the 49% of Snorkel,s value increases monthly From RNS Number : 2665C Tanfield Group PLC 27 June 2016 Valuation of Snorkel holding The Board of Tanfield has taken a view of the carrying value of its 49% holding and its preferred interest holding (Loan note) that takes account of risks in the industrial global markets and the normal cycles that operate within these markets. The range of potential valuation can be broad. The valuation has, to an extent, a time driven element. The agreement for the valuation formula to be triggered is over a five year period. At the end of 2015 there were just under three years left to run on this aspect of the agreement. If the formula is not triggered within the 5 year time frame Tanfield will still retain 49% of the equity. The decision has been made to maintain its valuation of GBP36.3m ($60.1m, being $43.1m equity holding and $17.0m preferred interest holding). This valuation has been assessed against a number of criteria using discounted cash flows in relation to the sale and purchase agreement and its valuation formula: -- Level of investment in working capital. -- Capital investment. -- Production capacity. -- Order Book. -- Market conditions. -- Historical capability of the business to ramp up output. The valuation has not been adjusted for foreign currency fluctuations due to the uncertain nature of future foreign currency markets. Based on the exchange rate at 31 December 2015, the $60.1m valuation would convert to GBP40.7m and based on the exchange rate at 1 June 2016, it would convert to GBP41.6m. This represents approximately 27p per share.

Something's going on here, a little bit worried about a hostile takeover or something which would see us getting current market value hope management are watching to suspend if needed.

multi was chatting on another forum page held by the same company on a percentage holding cannot remember which company but you can search on here where he has been chatting and then checking holdings info. this was the only link to consider if he was connected or owns any of the companys above, it doesn't actual mean its him, but I have certainly considered this. please buy some more if you wish, all good in my eyes. surprised we are still 14p after all this volume, seem a lot of mentions of tanfield of late on the snorkel fb page in the comments and snorkel keep deleting the comments, so maybe we are nearly there and the comments and questions could be getting deleted if sensitive at this time. only time will tell how long left before adhern owns snorkel,

If they have over 10% could they block a deal with Ahern ? At the very least it buys them a cheap seat at the negotiating table from which I'm sure they could extract a very decent turn.

the way business is at the moment, I surprised the transaction has not already been announced, tanfield is now a takeover target the way things are being this low price against snorkels amazing growth on a worldwide scale in a climate of growth everywhere confirmed by everyone you speak to at the moment.

adhern has a good name you can trust and its his motivation, so 100 percent yes trust him, he has also talked on film about the future purchase of tan fields percentage,as posted here. my guess is we have a big buyer, and maybe the investor at 14p on the placement wants out, so anyone saying we have a seller is being too negative, we also have a huge buyer. maybe the battle between the seller and the buyer will continue tomorrow, i think it will, both looked strong today in there intentions. the seller only has so many shares to sell and the buyer can buy a great deal more if they wish to do so.

I take note of the text under the picture. How can anyone think that Ahern will not buy the rest of Snorkel as planned. Snorkel and XStreme have a lot of common facilities and joint sales offices around the world. At 14p we are talking 50% of the low ball book value for Snorkel and 30% of value if option is triggered. I find it hard to find better upside.
