cyberhub - 15 Feb '24 - 08:23 - 684 of 685 - the answer is in the link to Selan's RNS

Another thought is that they have made a gain of buying the share from GSPC and selling it to Selan

Why would Syn need a cash raise for workovers? The RNS says that Selan will pay for 3 workovers on top of 3 new wells?

I'm not sure what SYN can do to raise $10m.

The sooner they can start with the WP the sooner the cash comes in. Maybe the plan is to start with the workovers ASAP which means a cash raise ASAP. I can't see why they wouldn't start before any GOI approval for the JV.

Also worth noting the Selan's Share Performance over the last 12 months, and what could be SP's reaction to the announcement yesterday - though the time stamp states 20.17.

Maybe the way to look at it is that this was the best deal available.

$10m investment and some sweeteners for 3 workovers, 2 Vertical Wells, 1 Horizontal well sometime in the future for 50% of Cambay.

A quick look over Selan's latest presentation shows quite a lot

Worth a look.

50% of a potentially very substantial revenue stream is better than 100% of a sub-scale revenue stream....

$2.5m ($ not £) is for the sum of their work to date. Will a more experienced operator kill off some of the now many fracked wells that are seeing more and more water cut? What's the income to SYN post costs going forward?

Lot's of questions. Almost all of the RNS was already announced, just not the $20m nor the %2.5m

As someone suggested they weren't in the strongest position.

Fantastic rns disappointing reaction. Who'd thought after all this time waiting, finally it happens and the share price goes down. Long-term syn future is now secured, with guaranteed income coming in the not too distant future. I think the previous GM meeting rns and the mix up with the placing has had a massive effect on today's news. Hopefully this will start to rise tomorrow and for a few weeks after. Plenty of press to come. Roland should be doing a video interview as well very soon. All looks good other than the share price which will hopefully react positively very shortly.

they get $2.5m pending govt approval, till then where's the cash going to come from, that's my point and were we not expecting a greater % farm in deal?

pre - "not fully funded though is it, thought they were getting it fully funded"No, that point was covered in the 18/12/23 RNS - the funding was always going to be for an agreed work program.

So they have given 50% away for $20m dollars investment, which as they are 50:50 only $10m really applies to their share of future works. ummm (Oilex holder of old)
