Had a further dig into the trials register. I'd missed that in the hospital trial, one of the exclusions was being in ICU. This suggests that while unwell enough to be in hospital (think of the lady in the chair talking post treatent in one of the TV clips), they trialists were not at the worst end of the disease progression.

Why is that important? Because the evidence seems to suggest that infa is much more likely to be helpful the earlier it's given and by the time they are in ICU, the 'storm' will have overtaken them, and infa both is unlikely to help, or could make it worse.

So to me is seems that they might see some evidence for efficiency from the hospital trial and the earlier intervention in home trials has every chance of being successful, with the 1st part of the trial pointing towards that outcome.

A home treatment given early would be a game changer, especially given the home trialists are all in the vulnerable category. It could make a massive difference to the numbers needed to be hospitalised, and hence straining the health system.

If the signs are good from the hospital trial, there might be a deal fairly quickly to expand the home trial into a phase 2/3 in multiple locations

That's my take.

The trial was for up to 400, I believe Nobby confirmed with the company they stated the home trial is part of those original figures. Logically it can be seen as part of the original fund raising. Also may be cheaper to run overall. Apologise Nobby if it wasn't you.

Perhaps, I would also expect that the government could provide some funding. Just vibes based on share price action, nothing else

I remember that the reason I made my first direct investment was the Woody farrago pushing the price to below 6p - this was in anticipation of Link offloading.

There was no material change to the business outlook - just selling pressure.

Then came Covid, fomo and the placing at 35p

The price is 7 times higher than pre-covid January, but still has to deal with the on-going reduction from Lansdowne as well as Link.

So what's changed?

1. We will have two more trials than planned.
2. If they are clear we will get therapeutic clearance much more quickly than sans Covid.
3. We will get an additional indication.
4. There are lots of PIs who have bought above 50p and are nursing losses (none of us like that)
5. We are funded to the point where we can out-licence from a strong position.

Would I buy in for the first time at this price? - probably not given the significant overhang.

Will the share price drop further - yes probably, although I do see 35 as strong support.

Have a pleasant weekend and don't be tempted to help the company by aiding the increase in R.

They said that a portion of the money would be used for working capital requirements and strengthening the balance sheet. The money could have come from there

No being mischievous no, the original 14m was raised to cover the hospital trials. Where is the money for the home trials coming from?

Festario, you are in good company. I have purchased 5 lots of TERN shares in the last three days and paid over the odds. Look beyond the short term picture both at TERN and SNG and as to why you invested in the first place. If you think you got it wrong then sell, if you think you have got it right stay put or invest more.
