Unless you got in very very early I don't know why anyone would sell now in hope they get lower? Just from an investment p.o.v. If you believe the treatment will work you'll get your profits back from a low or high buy in. If you sell at a loss now just to maybe buy cheaper in the hope it then spikes up, well you might as well keep your holding now.Terrible day for the markets and as we are a stock waiting for news we'll fluctuate like anything else. If you're selling so close to results then imo you don't believe the treatment will work so buying in at a lower price doesn't matter because it will keep falling.

The last newspaper article that was written about SNG weeks ago was based on buying at 46p or thereabouts. It would not surprise me to see another article that updates that the hospital trial has recruited the 100 patients and that there is now going to be a home trial. If SNG was a good buy so many weeks ago at this price, then why bail?

Any chartists here will surely admire the rhythmical beauty of the last two months’ candlesticks chart....

Up on news(big volume); down next four days;
Up on news (big volume); down next four days.
Etc etc
‘Spoilt‘ only by the recent delay on trial results.

Nearly 200m shares traded over the period!

They say ‘every picture tells a story’.

Here’s hoping this one has a happy ending.

Good luck. I've been in for 10 months now makes no sense to step off at this time given any given moment it could take off. If it does drop below I'll buy more it's a win win from my perspective.

Last night's BBC South today report is here:

(starts at about 7:40)

The inhaler for the home trial looks somewhat different to that used in the hospital trial (is that an ethernet cable connected to the nebuliser?)

Forget the mention of a Tr1, I forgot it would only apply above 3% (or just under 5M shares)

Very interesting WD... So, by my very rough calculations from the figures you've put, that would be some where over 1M buys late reported?Could it be as has been suggested elsewhere with Landsdowne disposals, that if the order has not yet been fully executed it does not need a Tr1?

bbc south 6.30 featured what i believe was synairgen and its trial, particularly the home testing kit. no mention of synairgen by name. featured same clips as previous bbc programme, old dear in bed saying it helped with her breathing etc.
but, also featured a clip of the new home testing kit along with a demonstration. also gave out details of contact info if anyone living in a radius of 40 mils of southampton, they can apply to volunteer, mentioned interferon etc,a prof tom wilkinson and someone else, the name escapes me.
why do these news clips never ever mention the company name?

I am inclined to think the number is far higher than that Potts (and thus, statistically speaking, a far lower mortality rate). We will probably never know. However, that matters not if we get positive results here, as the market will be interested. No idea on price in such a scenario, but let us just hope we get there first.

Only 6% of the population have antibodies/have had Coronavirus according to latest govt figures. That has led to 37k deaths. Extrapolate that number to the rest of the population and the number of potential deaths is frightening. I do hope SNG and other treatments, test and trace can prove effective quickly. Still 54k new cases a week in UK.

Nobby - thanks for your reply. Using your timelines that is only 6 or 7 weeks. Not long at all in the grand scheme of things. Although seeing on the news that over 100,000 americans have died so far I doubt they will drag their feet on the analysis. Too many lives at stake.

I guess the annoying thing is that, if correct, while SNG’s mkt cap stays <£100m, it’ll be off-limits for many institutions as an investment, however attractive.

Sort of Catch-22.
