With some of these ongoing trials (and I don't include SNG001 amongst these!)it's worth bearing in mind what the BMJ has to say:

A deluge of poor quality research is sabotaging an effective evidence based response

The medical research world is responding to the covid-19 pandemic at breathtaking speed. There has been a maelstrom of global research, with mixed consequences. Positives include the greater provision of open access to covid-19 studies, some increased collaboration, expedited governance and ethics approvals of new clinical studies, and wider use of preprints. But many problems have become evident. Before the pandemic, it was estimated that up to 85% of research was wasted because of poor questions, poor study design, inefficiency of regulation and conduct, and non or poor reporting of results.1 Many of these problems are amplified in covid-19 research, with time pressures and inadequate research infrastructure contributing..
The National Library of Medicine registry ClinicalTrials.gov lists 1087 covid-19 studies, and though some will provide useful information, many are too small and poorly designed to be helpful, merely adding to the covid-19 noise.

If 100 provides statistically significant and managerially relevant results then more is pointless.

Nobby ,

My belief is that SNG wish to power up the trial by recruiting more than they have said so far ..I think that would be better myself and would give more credibility to the results.
The protocol on clinical trials has an estimated 400 patients enrollement ....
Any thoughts ?

Unless there is a significant effect (either way) not sure we'll see results till end June, earliest Assuming last patient in hospital trial has been dosed, although they might power it up by accepting more patients, the treatment lasts 14 days and end points measured after 28 days, add in a few weeks to read results and it could be the very end of June earliest.

Disagree Toffeeman IMO, Nobby already confirmed on here that RM had advised there will be an RNS once home trials start which is imminent. I would also expect them to confirm trial recruitment completion, they did advise regular updates would follow. I am happy either way as their focus is on the right things so leave them to it IMO.

There will be no formal news released until the results of the hospital trial are ready for release.

Like any trial there will be some patients who ether did not complete the trial or were problematic in data terms.

The company will want 100 complete results and so there may have been late recruitment.

IMO - we will hear noting until June.

Taken from the LSE boards, I'd not seen this before investing, but it sounds like clinical trials should finish Friday this week based on 8 weeks from when trial started."This excellent proactive video was released 8 weeks ago today, in it Richard Marsden confirm the trials will take around 8 weeks to complete. So it should complete imminently.Listening to it feels me with confidence, but the proof will be in the pudding.https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/915497/synairgen-to-start-trials-this-week-of-its-lead-drug-in-patients-with-covid-19-915497.html "

Sell order being filled this morning and expecting decent rise up to 64p by close. 3no outcomes to this, two short term - hospital trial and home trial and medium term COPD. The binary element has gone so risk is now spread.

FWIW I think 45-75 for successful COPD, 150 ish for successful hospital, 300 for home, 500+ for hospital and home. And to balance that out, may hit as low as 20p waiting for COPD if COVID not successful.
