20/4/2020 08:00 | It will be interesting to see what market cap they achieve on the back of that RNS. They recently placed at 50p, so should provide some liquidity there. We are well advanced in terms of testing. | ![]() talk2dubya

20/4/2020 07:54 | IMO lockdown will not be ended I think we'll see waves. I certainly won't expect pubs or bars even sporting events to open til at least September. I personally dont see myself being back in my London office until September/October time but shop workers and schools could well reopen before then. | ![]() adman50
20/4/2020 07:46 | jev1 not true really. Average age from the tens of thousands of deaths in Italy is.........80 years old. Why do you think UK media are not giving an average age of all deaths in UK. They dont want to highlight it thats why. The virus will only kill at most 0.5% of the population, should they get it. Which means 99.5% of the population would have the sniffles or be asymptomatic. Civil disturbances will happen soon if lockdowns are not lifted. You have 0.5% of the population who are either retired or dont work as they are sick who are the most at risk. They are not affected by lockdown as they get their pension anyway or are on sick benefits. Now, the 99.5% who can work are being screwed to protect this 0.5% who get their money for doing nothing anyway. Lockdown will be lifted in UK on 7th May......mark my words, they have to. May onwards will see the biggest climbdown all over the world. Make the most of the Covid stocks because its all coming to an end soon. I have made buckets in the past couple of weeks, but I will be out of them all by May. | pro_s2009
20/4/2020 07:40 | Pro Eating garlic won't stop the virus from being contracted and the very reason this is a global pandemic is because of the initial rapid spread in Asia (China). China's containment of it (if true) is due to the drastic physical distancing measures it took, nothing more. The studies including garlic and Interferon show that Interferon is marginally increased, as equally it is from eating honey but not at sufficient levels to combat this virus and given that there is more emphasis on viral load, it's pot luck whether anyone's immune system can overcome the infection, whatever they eat. | ![]() jev1

20/4/2020 07:12 | Interferon Alpha.........yes... Medically proven that if you eat garlic your bodily levels of Interferon Alpha go up significantly. So along with nice hot weather you have a lot of people eating a lot of garlic and so levels of Interferon Alpha are higher. Eat garlic......IFN-Alph You are what you eat.......which is why in the UK/USA with so many obese people, with so many with underlying disease and eating horrifically not nutritional food - the virus is taking its toll. | pro_s2009

19/4/2020 22:10 | > Nobby In response to thoughts on going alone or getting a licensing deal then I would take the latter. Primarily and most importantly if that meant getting the product out there quicker and at volume to help people, then brilliant. I do have an internal moral battle sometimes on investing in something that can hopefully do the greater good and viewing what profit I have hit. Anything north of £5 I would be very happy with indeed at x40 my 25p buy in stake and x10 my top up 2nd buy! | ![]() finster007
19/4/2020 21:44 | > maturo Not sure where you got that from as it's not really true. Interferon beta stimulates an anti viral immune response as it's principle mode of action but in a controlled fashion. After all it's used to treat hepatitis which is a chronic infection where there is no cytokine storm. Yes part of its action may also be to dampen down certain aspects of an aberrant immune response but that definitely is not the primary action. | ![]() nobbygnome
19/4/2020 21:34 | Anyone else think we will see some interesting holding RNS(s) tomorrow ? | ![]() talk2dubya
19/4/2020 21:34 | What SNG001 does. For absolute clarity, SNG is not a cure or treatment for coronavirus / covid-19. It is a treatment for the immune overreaction (the "cytokine storm") that sometimes takes place in the more severe cases. Cytokines help to trigger the immune response to disease but for some reason, this response goes into overdrive thereby causing serious tissue inflammation and fluid build up on the lungs. This leads to death in the vast majority of cases. SNG001 helps to suppress this immune overreaction so that less people die from either viral pneumonia or other opportunistic infection. | ![]() maturo

19/4/2020 20:53 | I for one would welcome a takeover for the simple fact of I don’t have a bloody clue what I want to sell at as I have no idea what the market will see fair value as! So if someone dictates the price for me it makes the decision easy! Will be multiples of what I paid but having seen NOV at 30p earlier in the year and nearly went in to where they were last week at £5 I bet plenty sold at £2 getting a nice profit 6 fold vs 16 fold?? | ![]() crookie3634
19/4/2020 20:45 | Ditto but I bear no malice and haven't taken offence either. Let's hope the results are as we wish and succeed for those infected too. :o) | ![]() jev1
19/4/2020 20:39 | I would love to argue /discuss it, but you are missing the point, so we could be here all day. GL May be an issue with semantics, but I reiterate that I believe SNG001 (if successful in this trial) is likely to be more beneficial in combination with specific antiviral agents (those that directly kill the virus) | torreskid
19/4/2020 19:52 | Jev1 I guess despite your stupidity, you are going to make money on this share! Your remark says a lot! Are u medical? rhetorical! I would suggest you read what u wrote..."to prove beyond doubt" Its ONLY a phase 2 trial in only 100 patients, and therefore will provide evidence to its benefit, but this is only the start of the long journey of SNG001 research in covid. If positive then large Phase 3 trials are likely to be needed across the spectrum of the covid disease. BTW 100 patients is not sufficient to identify reliable data about side-effects - all it takes is for 2 pts on sng001 to puke and none on placebo to provide quirky statistics! Yes the share price will fly if trial is positive (thats why I'm invested here), but thats not the end of the story, just the beginning (no different than an oil explorer finding hydrocarbons in a virgin territory...simples) | torreskid
19/4/2020 19:44 | Consequently, IFNβ1 appears to be most relevant interferon to treat coronavirus infections. ... In China, the guidelines for the treatment of COVID-19 recommend to administer 5 million U of IFNα by vapor inhalation twice a day to the patients, in combination with ribavirin (Dong et al., 2020; Lu, 2020). Clinical trials have been recently registered to evaluate a combination of lopinavir/ritonavir and IFNα2b (ChiCTR2000029387) or a combination of lopinavir/ritonavir with ribavirin and IFNβ1b administered subcutanously (NCT04276688) for the treatment of COVID-19. The administration by vapor inhalation currently performed in China offers the advantage of targeting specifically the respiratory tract; however, to the best of our knowledge, the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of this mode of administration have never been assessed. | ![]() talk2dubya
19/4/2020 18:17 | It's a blinded trial so how will they have seen 'benefit in early patients'? No-one knows who is getting drug and who is getting placebo! | ![]() nobbygnome |
