08/4/2020 20:40 | Torreskid. Thanks. As I said I have not read the protocol. Your conclusion that this is a small and short study makes sense. A DMC would have preallocated meeting time points. This is going to be all over in a flash so no time. I guess this really is a pilot to determine appropriate endpoints and relevant stats. | ![]() freedosh
08/4/2020 20:37 | I have a small holding in AVCT - went ballistic today. I think that their C-19 diagnostic is not the most interesting (there's is have you got it) and I think have you had it is more important. I also think that it will sidetrack them from the real gold which is oncolgy therapy. I will hold but may take a spreadbet short at some point! | ![]() toffeeman
08/4/2020 20:32 | We had a 10m share placing and that was covered We now have a 30m share placing coming up on Tuesday It will be covered with ups and downs in between | ![]() dave444
08/4/2020 20:32 | Nobby have you had a look at AVCT with their tie up today, if so in your professional what do you make of it. Sorry for the off topic. | ![]() royalalbert
08/4/2020 20:22 | Would there really have been a big short position? I find that a little hard to believe. You would be mad to short this to any large amount. Yes there is /was the placing indigestion but that is not a 'short squeeze'. | ![]() nobbygnome
08/4/2020 20:13 | Huge short squeeze today and seller done, don’t read that much into it. Headlines in some of the U.K. press would have helped also :-) | ![]() markinvestor
08/4/2020 20:12 | FreedI previously wondered that, but protocol clear that no DMCI guess to short a study and no surprises expected... Still strange | torreskid

08/4/2020 19:53 | talk2dubya8 Apr '20 - 19:26 - 2954 of 2956 There was a 250k delayed buy before the trials RNS - does lightening strike twice ? VERY nice one. It leads me to: "Is 70p before lunch time a possibility or rather just pure prosecco-fuelled delirium?" discASS | ![]() the patient investor

08/4/2020 19:33 | "they may find that it is unethical to continue the blinded study to allow all patients to receive the active agent." this above is the key point freedosh, thanks, I was relying specifically on your comment, to me what I said was quite a spontaneous and obvious consideration. so, in actual fact, i saw the overall picture rather correctly, knowing nothing on the procedures. it makes sense completely, either scientifically/medic thanks again | ![]() the patient investor
08/4/2020 19:28 | patient. All double blinded trials will have an independent data monitoring committee (DMC). The DMC monitor the study for both efficacy and toxicity. They have the codes and real time observations and can stop the trial early for toxicity issues or for significant efficacy that achieves the desired endpoint. In the latter situation they may find that it is unethical to continue the blinded study to allow all patients to receive the active agent. If significant benefit is seen then this study could finish ahead of schedule but I haven’t looked at the protocol in detail so I’m not sure how substantial a benefit is needed to confirm efficacy and I note mention that this might be a pilot as a prelude to a substantive Study(?phase 11 or III) | ![]() freedosh

08/4/2020 19:14 | I think Boris' recovery is IFN beta based this will send the share price into orbit (i call orbit anything above 65.7) | ![]() the patient investor

08/4/2020 18:22 | I read up on a large WHO trial not double blinded. One of the treatments uses Ritonavir/lopinavir and interferon-beta. Presumably our mode of action for Interferon is different. ? | glennrcharles
08/4/2020 18:18 | Fantasic day and last trading day tomorrow before 4 day trading break and Easter weekend. Not a ramp but I honestly wouldn't sleep for 4 nights, over the long weekend, if I was out of what I believe will be a life changing stock in more ways than one. Expecting more upwards pressure tomorrow...that 250k buyer was very keen at the bell paying the high of the day! | ![]() likya123
08/4/2020 18:01 | Hmm if we stick above 60 and move on up I am looking for the next pause and will be tempted to sell a few grand's worth at 70-75, with a view to buying back at 60. | ![]() toffeeman
