https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/jan/16/eu-declares-war-on-plastic-waste-2030 Folk do need to understand that most of the waste in the oceans does indeed come from Africa & Asia. These are predominantly countries that do not have much, if anything, in the form of collection/recycling infrastructure or facilities. Anyone that has travelled to the Middle East, India, Africa etc. It is the norm to unwrap the plastic packaging and simply drop it where you stand. Changing that mindset in those countries is not going to come about as a consequence of the UK / EU's efforts just now .. it will likely almost be a generational thing. This is where SYM's product(s) can and will have a much more immediate impact .. far, far quicker to mandate the use of Ox Biodegradable additives at the manufacturing stage now and for the next 25 years while collection and recycling initiatives are implemented - which are of course very costly! Little point beating India & Africa over the head about this now and calling them the villains. The quickest and most cost-effective decision will be that taken already taken by Saudi Arabia and other nations. Hardly takes €100m in wasted consultants fees to determine that rolling out SYM's solution now, in parallel with the longer term reduction, collection & recycling efforts, is the most obvious next step for large parts of the world.

Could somebody from SYM be classed as one of their experts? Perhaps they ought to volunteer! Makes you wonder? You are welcome Brucie.

Higher highs, excellent. --------------------------------- If just 50,000 of us donate a small amount today, we’ll: Send plastics experts to cities along the rivers to devise clean-up plans; Launch massive public campaigns along the polluting rivers; And lobby donor countries to fund the 10 rivers plan.' ----------------------------------- Hazl, 'avaaz- is this a charity we could be supporting?

Avaaz doing it's bit.... items like this are much more prevalent tt seems to me. 'We've all seen the horrifying images -- whale bellies filled with bottles and bags. Islands of trash stretching for miles. Turtles tangled and drowned. It's a planetary crisis and, unless we act now, there’ll be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050! But an amazing new study just found 90% of plastic streaming into our oceans comes from just 10 rivers in Africa and Asia. If we clean up these rivers, we could literally save our oceans! So instead of waiting for someone else, experts and Avaazers have come up with a plan to kick-start action. If just 50,000 of us donate a small amount today, we’ll: Send plastics experts to cities along the rivers to devise clean-up plans; Launch massive public campaigns along the polluting rivers; And lobby donor countries to fund the 10 rivers plan.'

buyers continue to take up the stock every day. This should trend up over 20p in the days ahead with the potential to get into the mid 30's on any further good contract wins / further legislation in their favour.

I think the climate for caring about the environment is at last coming to a head. Forget about 15 years ago. That is the past look to now and the future,is my take on it.

Poftie: So far as the current UK publicity is concerned, bear in mind that over a period in excess of 15 years SYM, a British company, based in the UK, with an ex MP and an ex MEP on the Board, has achieved a grand total UK turnover of not much over a paltry £250k per annum. So we is up to poss 0.40m according to H. Any thoughts - or are we subsidising someone's lifestyle.

why are some people so negative.. surely its healthy for the soul to forgive and look at the stock through rose tinted glasses, whilst listening to Michael Jackson singing 'Can you feel it'.. One's day would be much more fun in the retirement home with a happy feeling looking at the stock price going up.

hazl & others. As I have already mentioned, there are 2-3 posters here who are very negative the company (at least one is an ex-employee with an axe to grind) & will always only ever make negative comments. They would rather lose money personally than see the company succeed, such are their emotional states. They are best ignored as they are most unlikely to change

Amazing ! You have been writing negatives since at least early 2010. At that point I got bored and didn't look back any further. I seriously wonder if you are a paid deramper! What else can it be?? IMO

Again sometimes you have to wait for an idea to catch on. We all know the politicians have been dragging their heels about helping the environment.. They have time and time again encouraged the consumer,in rems of the general public to do thei bit and not encouraged the food industry to get their act together or produce comprehensive legislation on recycling or bio-degenerables. I remember trying for a full six months to get people interested in DOTD. The rest is history.

poftie ... always willing to listen to the bear case but, if you are intent in focussing so much on their UK sales & ignoring their overseas earnings (now being translated back against a weaker GB£), you are completely missing the bigger picture. So too if you ignore the product development in recent years. You and others remain deeply negative about the company, hence why I have managed to keep buying shares so cheaply. You cannot argue the cash and the figures, no matter how much you are emotionally anchored to the negatives.
