26/1/2017 11:08 | Over 5 months without an official announcement on the only asset that counts. We thought Bob was tight lipped, but Englebrect has made him look lime a loudmouth. Truly unacceptable to pull back on quarterly reporting and not even offer a reason why. As a footnote, what deal did the dealmaker Bob do on GRL, was it 5p a share - I honestly can't remember? | steve1905
26/1/2017 10:39 | They may now have done enough to flog Homase at reasonable cost. I can't see STI progressing this with a partner. | romeike
26/1/2017 10:38 | blobby, perhaps the emerging situation at Dalafin is so fantastic that the tech team struggled to find time to look at GRL results, which would explain the GRL delay in reporting! | georgesorrow
26/1/2017 10:37 | Indeed, Stratex may go for the whole lot. What price? | shortarm
26/1/2017 10:22 | To a large extent the GRL fortunes may be dependent on Stratex decisions and how well Stratex does financially from Altintepe in the short term. | blobby
26/1/2017 10:16 | There's no more news from GRL in the near future except being sued by the ex-director so it will drift down I guess | shortarm
26/1/2017 10:13 | georgesorrow, "Blobby we already knew that STI is providing the tech services for GRL. It doesn't follow that they have downed tools on STI projects as a result." I agree. However I can't see any activity on Dalafin except reviewing and considering things. I appreciate that this might mean a lot of active mapping and modelling, but equally it might mean work has stopped as there are no physical activities that we know of or future target dates for decisions. | blobby
26/1/2017 10:11 | Well done on your profit Dan, I thought the results were pretty much as expected, after all it was just a small drill programme to confirm continuity of resource at depth which is exactly what it did. There was way too much expectation that it was going to produce stunning results when all they were really looking to establish was a continuity of the Obasi ore shoot structure beneath the current open pitable mine at Homase. I agree that more drilling will be required but do wonder if this drill programme as tiny as it was, was done with the intention of showing another miner erm... Let's say AngloGold Ashanti that there was a continuation and that the Homase prospect was worth buying.... | exbiz
26/1/2017 10:01 | Where are all these great geologists peeps here keep telling us about . Another dud in GRL | juju44
26/1/2017 09:58 | Blobby we already knew that STI is providing the tech services for GRL. It doesn't follow that they have downed tools on STI projects as a result. Personally, I'm surprised GRL hasn't fallen further this morning. No-one goes down 180m for 2g/t and they have don't have the cash to do much more. We know that RRR is a seller and that MTR has stated its intention of divesting all of its 'trading' shares, with include GRL. | georgesorrow
26/1/2017 09:30 | I thought the snippet below, taken from the GRL statement was interesting. It looks like our West Africa team have been focusing on GRL rather than Dalafin which makes sense whilst that is where the resources were targeted. I'm not convinced that GRL is a better prospect than Dalafin however and it would be nice to know how Stratex rate the two prospects comparatively now. Information in this announcement is based on information compiled and reviewed by Issouf Ouedraogo, who is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Mr Ouedraogo has sufficient experience which is relevant to the style of mineralisation and type of deposit under consideration and to the activity he is undertaking to qualify as a Competent Person as defined in the 2012 'Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves'. Mr Ouedraogo consents to the release of this information in the form and context in which it appears. Mr Ouedraogo is an employee of Stratex International Plc, an AIM quoted company that has a 33.45% equity stake in GoldStone. He provides geological support to GoldStone via the technical agreement between the two companies announced on 20 October 2016. | blobby
26/1/2017 09:26 | Yes, not the most exciting but GRL still has a tiny MCAP. | shortarm
26/1/2017 09:15 | Blew my GRL theory for now and as you say Dan average results and doubt it increases the Oxides. | corguv
26/1/2017 08:55 | I think you'll find that they do. | exbiz
26/1/2017 08:38 | they don't need to issue every bloody rns that GRL do try releasing some good news on the MINE WAKE UP STI BOD | dingo75
26/1/2017 08:24 | So much for my STI-GRL theory, it lasted all of 12 hours. However I have a new theory. Marcus is Bob all over again, getting excited about the smallest of things, such as today's GRL results, which are average. But for a company with no funds, average is not good enough, and more drilling is required. Where is that money going to come from? Metal Tiger's trading wing is being folded I believe to fund their development projects, and Red Rock will sell whenever the next electricity bill arrives at Bell Towers, leaving only Stratex. Is this worth funding further? I doubt it. But if Stratex think so, they will probably have to go it alone and buy out the other parties, who are more likely sellers rather than buyers. Out of GRL with nice profit -- wipes brow -- not messing with these roulette shares again... | danieldruff2
26/1/2017 07:24 | RNS on Goldstone results | gamesplayer
25/1/2017 20:10 | TSR good results indeed, three out of three. Agree material news for Stratex. News not yet released by Stratex. Then again 3 holes with apparently visible gold in the cores at Homase and Results not yet released by Stratex or GRL. Interesting as we move rapidly to the Year End Report. | corguv
25/1/2017 19:39 | All in all it's dire shareholder relations. | steve1905
25/1/2017 19:23 | I have to say I find it staggering that the excellent recent results from Thani Stratex, a near surface gold discovery, has not been reported. Surely this would be deemed a material event to Stratex who own 32%. It does make one wonder if something very big is going on in the background, perhaps an asset sale? | tadtech
25/1/2017 18:33 | I remember Dan saying gold was in a bubble, while all around were spouting $2000 + | steve1905
25/1/2017 16:51 | Galantis gold has now reached the same market cap as STI. This company brings no interest to investors, our trades are just so appalling. Even if your not producing there still should be some interest. | tailor1
25/1/2017 16:14 | Shortarm, You are being far too harsh on danieldruff. Many of us thought Stratex sold out cheaply with Oksut and said so at the time. But we were not there in the negotiations so we will never know how good a deal it was. When companies receive awards for things it is often a sell signal (they have taken their eye off the ball and a chasing excuses to increase their remuneration). dd has been open with this board on a number of occasions, particularly with his very timely purchase of GRL shares recently. I think it is ungrateful to use any such information to chastise that poster and it may discourage others from posting honestly. | blobby
25/1/2017 15:57 | Stratex being daft!? And yet still voted deal of the year...Some may have forgotten that Dandruff (Vosene) had issues at work and had to sell a large portion of his holding....Just so we all know the score :-) | shortarm |
