Me three! I've had a terrific run on STCM! I just wonder why it's so quiet on here! This stock has been a great little earner for me! If only there was more freely available info on the company!

Took a position in these today, not an easy fill, T3 only without a premium, regardless of size.

Some background info on the country:

Kazakhstan's GDP growth rate 9% (2005) is similar to that of neighbour China (9.3%) and more than five times that of the UK (1.7%)

786 Abdul, bought into this and probably should have sold with a small profit. Not sure looking at the company again that it has the background to go much further.

If you mean the one dated 16/3 yes? Have not seen Mingay's update as yet, can you elaborate?

I wonder how liquid this stock is, I've not disposed of any so far, do you have any experience of this?

Whilst this stock is predominantly controlled by a few wealthy institutions and individuals, the mms have less opportunity to rig the price!!

Hi there cement lovers :-
This one came onto my radar a while ago
on the back of some big director buy ins, and
the share seems to have been making a nice
and steady increase since then.

I have a quick questions:

1. when are the year results expected?
Predicted turnover likely to be?
Trying to get some handle on likely
present and future EPS.

2.I note the recent RNS
As foreshadowed by its market announcement on 15 December 2006 Steppe Cement
Limited is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Karcement has closed the
tender process and has awarded the contract for reconstruction of the raw mills,
pre-heater, kiln and cooler of line 5 to FL Smidth. The contract price is in
accordance with the budget for the refurbishment of the line 5 of which the
total is US$73 million. The equipment to be provided by FL Smidth will be
shipped during the next 14 months and line 5 remains on schedule for
re-commissioning by the end of 2007.

Anyone able to provide more details on this? What is this 'refurbishment of line 5'? How much of the budget of 73 million is likely to be going to STCM?

Answers on a post-card please
J
