Company hasn’t provided any dates, RNS says to follow, so not sue where the 28/5 & 06/06 are coming from. Just guessing on behalf of ii.

zangdook, capital repayment is precisely USD4,161,000 and this equates approximately to 1.5p

( thanks to those confirming record date 28th May 2024 )

Where did they get that from? There hasn't been an RNS, and it's not "approximately" 1.5p.

Capital Repayment of 1.5p/share incoming. Look in the corporate actions section of your portfolio for details. Looks to me like no action is required, it will just land. If anyone is reading this differently please share

I agree that this looks like the final capitulation.
As much as I'm irritated with the board, IMO this is no time to be selling.

I remember two/three years ago posters thought this company was the bees knees and the divi yield was the tops.. oh how times change!

I'd feel more reassured about this share if a date for capital repayment was given this week. (On or around 23rd May advised in previous RNS)

1098kTonnes produced nationwide in April. This is only marginally down from 1140 and 1120 in the previous two Aprils and much better than the sharp fall in March of -13.5%. April is the last of the weaker 6 months. The more important 6 months start in May and good numbers would help shift the clinker stock that has been built up. So, April not great but much better than a poor March. (There were a few cold days at the start of April that might have been a slight drag. May weather looks decent so far.)

Isn't it about time we got dates for the pay-out (1.5p capital return)?
I'd like to think this would be well before the annual results in June, and hopefully news of a new dividend / capital return payout.
I'll actually take the trouble to vote at the AGM this year, and I'll vote against the re-appointment of any of the existing directors. Their performance has been pathetic.

It’s a ridiculous spread on this share.
This is one I really wished I hadn’t bought into, more because I just feel the management just don’t give a stuff about shareholders

99.97% in favour....

Explanation: its a company in the hands of the major shareholders, with a BOD which has no concern for the interests of anyone else.

Capital gain? That is optimistic. Currently most investor will report a loss reduced by 1.5 p if selling at a price not very much higher than it is now.

So the capital restructuring has been approved. For those that do not know, this is not a dividend as such and should not be declared as income on any tax return. A return of capital is taxed (in the UK at least) as a reduction in your purchase price so your capital gain will be 1.5p higher if and when you come to sell your shares.
