We think just a slight typo, of course the correct position is "maintained", not raised. But for Covid-19 it would have been raised, and there would have been an interim, let's hope that eventuates for FY2020, due July 2021, fingers crossed.

As I thought I made clear, Mattjos's statement is referring to payments made in the current year, contrasting STCM with the many companies which have cut their dividends because of the pandemic. His statement that STCM has raised its dividend is false. He didn't say "it raised its dividend a couple of years back". He didn't say "it would have raised its dividend but for the pandemic". Here's what he said:

"Contrary to majority of companies who are reducing or completely halting dividend payments, STCM has raised its dividend."

This sort of dishonest misrepresentation is a blight on advfn. There are a lot of people who are influenced by what they read here. Of course they should do their own research, but that doesn't excuse dishonest ramping. Can't people find good things to say about Steppe without making up lies?

Constable Ken, STCM reinstated its former dividend at 1p a share in 2017, from zero in the prior years, to 3p in 2018, which was maintained in 2019, and would have been more, including with an interim but for caution due to Covid-19, as the company is in a good place, and very good financial shape.

"Contrary to majority of companies who are reducing or completely halting dividend payments, STCM has raised its dividend."

Two lies.

1. The majority of companies have not reduced or halted dividends. This page lists 449 such companies, out of well over 2,000 listed on the LSE.

2. STCM has kept its dividend at 3p, the same as last year.

The first lie may be careless rhetoric, but Mattjos is certainly aware that STCM did not raise its dividend this year. I suppose he'll say "oh but it raised it some other year, in the past". Balls. You're talking about this year, in the context of other companies cutting dividends.

I too am keeping the faith here and have been adding.
For whatever reasons, this is so stupidly cheap & I just cannot ignore that.
The rest of the world may be happy with Zero or less than Zero yield on its capital but, I am certainly not.
Contrary to majority of companies who are reducing or completely halting dividend payments, STCM has raised its dividend.
Mkt cap would still be ridiculously cheap were the shares at 50p .. at under 24p to buy.
There seems to be a gradual increase in volume here since April this year which does suggest some growing interest.

Ok my divi reinvested. Now a slow gradual rise will do for me until we reach the mcap suggested by the director in the anual report ... :)

Hi Zangdook,

That's what I thought, but I cannot find any notification of the payment on the platform, any Idea where it may be hiding and how you are notified of the payment?

Cheers...

Spread bets pay on the ex-dividend date, so you should have had that a while ago. IG have always been prompt with spread bet dividends for me. It's the actual shares I hold with them which they take a long to time to pay out on.

I'm still waiting for IG. They are always slow with dividends, but even slower than normal with this one. Last year it was credited a week after the payment date.

At last a little movement in the price..

I have core holding in my ISA with HL and have had the divi on Friday, but I also have a small spread bet with IG and have not seen any divi there. Not held any shares in IG that have paid a divi before so not sure how that works and how it appears, anybody got an idea where the divi is or wher I should look for it?( its only £30ppp so not significant, buit every little helps)

Many thanks in advance...

crazy, is it not? The Herd is dashing for US Bonds - 10Yr at 0.5085%

Just wait when that reverses! The exit doors won't be either wide enough or plentiful enough

7p paid out now for 2017 through 2019, when will people start to give credit where it’s due, and all tax free due to the great structure designed and created in 2004 which has stood the test of time, hopefully people will appreciate the diamond in the rough this is
