i was buying and selling stp last summer with some success ..the kind of share that can double in a day interests me

anyway to cut a boring story short i was left with a number of (free ride)shares which i have added to as and when the price looked good

results are due for stp...maybe next week

if they are even slightly better than expected this should do extremely well

one swallow don't make a summer - so they say.

These are just too cheap but MM's will still try and milk the price a bit longer if they can.

Movements such as these are too difficult to read and, most likely, are MM's making some movement to keep interest alive.

The thing to bear in mind is that one big deal and an indication of improved profitability and these will be away and flying: 0.05p is nothing - these will move by steps of 0.5p in due course.

In the general scheme of things and given the spread on these - a difference of 0.02p or 0.04p is neither here nor there.

I will be buying these steadily whilst the price is below 1p.

Can't get any quantity for less than 0.73p myself - Lord knows I've been trying.

What price can you pick these up for Knowing.

I have bought on three occasions all with same broker: twice they went on PLUS and once they went on AIM. I don't think there is any particular rule as to which one is used - though it seems only PLUS has chunks of more than 100K available.

I've been watching these a while and finally decided to come off the fence and buy in this a.m.

I am a bit wary after the last trading update (profit warning): having a nice post-year end contract to announce and feather next years results is unfortunately not too much consolation for underperformance this year. What isn't too clear though is how close to "market expectations" the board's expectations were w.r.t. the performance of Spiritel Technology.

There is then the debt/negative equity which coupled with difficulties competing is not really a great combination.

All said and done, though, one needs to look a bit longer term - and there are some real positives:

* Their model for consolidation appears to work - and work well.
* They have a nice big backer supporting them.
* The business they have could scale up very cheaply and generate a ton of cash.
* They are in the final stages of the business turnaround which should see it becoming profitable.


I have therefore made a couple of purchases and will probably continue to top up gradually till I get to around 1m shares. I can't justify putting any more than £7/8K into this as there are some real risks that can't be ignored....but for me the odds of it going to 15p appear about the same as it going bust - and for me that is a good bet.
