But the endless greed of market makers lives on ! Takes a bundle at 0.25p and offers 0.6p, they are having a laugh if they think some mugs will pay around that price when they have paid far less, they should do the decent thing and offer 0.35p and allow long term suffering shareholders a chance of some cheap stock.

Say's it all that this co is primed to move onwards and upwards rapidly! 5th June 2009 SPIRITEL PLC ("SpiriTel" or "the Company") Alastair Mills, CEO wins Entrepreneur of the Year 2009 Award in recognition of SpiriTel's transformation SpiriTel plc, (AIM:STP), the business communications service provider, is pleased to announce that Alastair Mills, its Chief Executive, has won the prestigious National Comms Business Entrepreneur of the Year 2009 Award. The award was presented to Alastair at the Awards Dinner, held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London last night. The Award recognises the individual within the industry that most clearly demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, drive and the qualities needed to build a successful telecoms business. These include tenacity, self belief, creativity, a strong work ethic and vision. At the age of 32, Alastair was one of the youngest CEOs of a listed company when appointed in 2005 and in 2006 he launched the Company's successful 'acquire, integrate and grow' strategy. Since then, SpiriTel has acquired six telecoms resellers and built a new B2B Division servicing over 2,300 SME and major corporate customers including Whitbread, Lufthansa and BBC Worldwide. Today SpiriTel is recognised as a leader in the provision of a range of converged voice and data services to UK businesses. The Company recently signed a £4m contract with a major global hotel group for the provision of network services across its UK estate. During the last 12 months, the Business Division has delivered strong organic growth, driven by cross selling successes valued at over £7m. In announcing the award, the judges commented, "SpiriTel is a growing and profitable company with the flexibility to adapt to changes in the industry. Alastair has developed a well structured successful telecoms business and is a worthy winner." Commenting on the award, Alastair Mills, CEO of SpiriTel said: "It is an honour to receive the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. SpiriTel has a highly skilled and committed staff and I am proud to have the opportunity to thank the whole team for their efforts and hard work during a period of significant progress for the Group." Lord St John of Bletso, SpiriTel's Chairman, added: "I am delighted with Alastair's award. Through his leadership, vision and determination, SpiriTel has undergone a fantastic turnaround. This award is a fitting recognition of Alastair's abilities and drive and acknowledges what his colleagues and fellow directors have always recognised." The Group is a consolidator of the highly fragmented UK telecoms reseller market and is building a substantial customer base and scale through selective earnings-enhancing acquisitions. We are organised into two divisions, SpiriTel Technologies - focused on our infrastructure and IP products and services - and SpiriTel Business, which provides our fully integrated range of voice and data services direct to business customers. Today, the Group offers a broad range of voice and data communications products and services to a customer base of small and medium sized enterprises and an increasing number of larger national and international organisations. We are a recognised leader in the provision of new, but proven, Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions that are firmly based on the old-fashioned service values which run throughout the Group.

Spiritel is doing much better than most companies and has achieved a very large contract, the shares are a BUY....the future is great for this little gem of a company, I am certainly NOT selling but buying.EXCELLENT REPORT IN THE PRESENT ECONOMIC CLIMATE Home home » Industry News » Major contract win spurs SpiriTel to grow Business Division Major contract win spurs SpiriTel to grow Business Division 12 May, 2009 - 08:52 SpiriTel has signed a contract to provide network services to one of the world's largest international hotel chains across its UK estate and is providing a trading update for the year ended 30 April 2009. The Company's Business Division has secured a 30 month contract with a major international hotel chain for the provision of network services across the whole of their UK estate. This agreement is expected to be worth in excess of £4 million over its term and is SpiriTel's largest customer contract to date. It is representative of SpiriTel's successful strategy of driving organic growth by cross-selling the Company's expanded product range covering fixed, mobile, data and networking services. An important part of the strategy is to increase future earnings visibility and the extended term of the new contract win further contributes to this goal. Due to declining profitability in SpiriTel's Technologies Division during the second half of the year, as competitive pressure in wholesale markets has intensified, the Board now expects the company's results for the year ended 30 April 2009 to be marginally below expectations. The Technologies Division provides the company's other division - Business - with the infrastructure support for its direct B2B sales. It also services other third party carrier customers and it is this revenue stream that has come under pressure. The Business Division has performed strongly during the year and has secured a number of notable contract wins. The Business Division continues to deliver ongoing organic growth, however, competitive pressures experienced by the Technologies Division are continuing to negatively impact the company's overall trading performance. Alastair Mills, CEO of SpiriTel commented: "This contract win provides further evidence of the Company's record of driving organic growth by cross-selling an expanded product range. In the last year this strategic focus on cross-selling has resulted in total contract wins of over £7 million. The margin pressure in wholesale markets illustrates the rationale behind our strategy to reduce exposure to these volatile markets by growing our Business Division."

Any company that is not marginally below expectations in this chronic climate is doing exceptionally well. Declining profitablity is only n one division.
