13/1/2011 22:45 | Brando: couldn't agree more. Compared with Tom W's smoke and mirrors at AHG (AFAICS at a huge premium to NAV) this is as solid as a rock. | engelo
13/1/2011 22:25 | Does any one know how often the co intend to issue official NAVs this year? (No disrespect to Chrimeprotection and others for v helpful estimates!!) NAV started off as quarterly last year, but recently overtaken by success of the investments. Monthly would be more appropriate imo: perhaps the NAV of 4th Jan is the first of these?? | engelo
13/1/2011 22:19 | what amazes me is that, given bruce rowan's consistent record in investing in multibagging companies, sve trades at such a discount to nav. arguably it should trade at a premium to nav | brando69
13/1/2011 22:06 | and can anyone enlighten me re the Woburn holding? | brando69
13/1/2011 22:06 | zedder can you talk us through these BEM warrants? | brando69
13/1/2011 22:00 | Updated NAV on my sheet of 32.2p including BEM warrants. | zedder
13/1/2011 21:30 | Only 2 of the top 9 holdings by value are under the notifiable limit. Those being BEM 4million worth £2.3m and RRR 8.65 million 1.9% worth £1.2m. So only these could have been sold and reduced without need for an RNS. Heres hoping we haven`t got rid of any unless we sold BEM @60p yesterday of course ;-) | mattboxy
13/1/2011 17:02 | Market value of current AIM holdings £ 9,829,732.91 - based on bid prices at close of play today | brando69
13/1/2011 16:58 | Concorde oil & Gas /Kuwait energy still to come back into play yet | maxbubble
13/1/2011 15:42 | SVE being quite illiquid offers some great buying ops for those happy to hold for long term, as it can fall on a few sales, even when the constituent stocks are doing well. I am pretty sure that the market makers play on that fact too | brando69
13/1/2011 15:39 | RRR and RGM have been fairly static for some weeks. they could blow any time soon, which would give SVE another major boost. | backmarker
13/1/2011 14:44 | there we go, delayed reaction to recent portfolio rises | brando69
13/1/2011 11:48 | the turn of SRES today to put a shift in. rocketing at the moment - adding around 80K to value of the holding. Could become another 7 figure holding in next week or so | brando69
12/1/2011 23:56 | "maxbubble - 12 Jan'11 - 15:28 - 573 of 578 (premium) i think outsider standing onthe rocket trying to hold her down...lol" Lol when I get back in I will release! ;-) | outsider
12/1/2011 21:01 | Brando i'm getting a link to ECR thead ? Is the portfolio there?? | mattboxy
12/1/2011 20:59 | Crimep1 -thats good to know, can`t understand the down move, guess/hope we will get a move up shortly to close the gap. | mattboxy
12/1/2011 17:17 | Well, according to my calcs the discount to NAV is now nearly 54% based on todays rises and the 4m BEM shares still being intact. These shares were definately still current as reported on 4/1/2011 and this can be verified by adding up all the 9 holdings stated using bid prices as of 13/12/2010 and using 85% of the total nav figure. It remains to be seen whether anymore have been sold over the last few days, or maybe they have learned from cashing in early last time! | crimeprotection1
12/1/2011 16:09 | i've set up a portfolio here, which shows that the sve aim stocks are showing a net rise on the day of £700K | brando69
12/1/2011 15:32 | kefi over 10p now! | tricia51
12/1/2011 15:28 | i think outsider standing onthe rocket trying to hold her down...lol | maxbubble
12/1/2011 14:36 | Hopefully i`ll be back in work soon and see if John watkins has responded. Does anyone know if he is allowed to tell us the current holdings or is there any reason he cannot?? As they are under notifiable level they could already have sold the lot and we could be counting chickens here!! | mattboxy
12/1/2011 14:35 | i do however suspect that they are trying to shake out some weak holders | brando69 |
