11/1/2011 13:53 | trying to create a dummy portfolio o advfn for sve's holdings. for some reason won't let me save the plus-listed ones. anyone got any ideas why? btw, the 11 aim listed stocks today have a value, based on the bid of over £9m | brando69
11/1/2011 13:35 | I agree Brando re 541 - some might like to get some capital back at a more attractive tax rate | maxbubble
11/1/2011 13:30 | Outsider, can you confirm that the 4m holding in BEM is AFTER the disposal shown below: RNS Number : 3517U Beowulf Mining PLC 13 October 2010 13 October 2010 Beowulf Mining Plc ("Beowulf" or the "Company") Holdings in Company Beowulf (AIM: BEM; Aktietorget: BEO), the AIM and Aktietorget traded mineral exploration company which owns several exploration projects in Sweden, received notification yesterday from Starvest Plc ("Starvest") that, following the disposal of 2,250,000 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company on 12 October 2010, Starvest no longer holds a notifiable interest in the issued share capital of the Company. 11/1/2011 13:07 | you would never want sve paying out 5p a share in divis when they can turn that 5p into 25p in the portfolio, would you? the day a co like this starts paying out big divis is the day they are running out of investment ideas and it's time to sell up and move on | brando69
11/1/2011 13:06 | I think its always under review - 5p would be nice number | maxbubble
11/1/2011 12:57 | i recall them issuing a special divi a few years ago - 1p a share if i remember rightly. but have they stated any such intention recently? | brando69
11/1/2011 12:55 | Nice fat divi coming our way this year by the looks of things | maxbubble
11/1/2011 12:45 | BEM now at 49 mid | brando69
11/1/2011 12:09 | BEM making new highs today. 46.75 that puts the SVE stake at near to £2m. Have a situation where BEM, KEFI, RRR RGM alone now accounting for whole of market cap | brando69
11/1/2011 09:45 | 50K taken at full ask. clearly not that much stock in mm hands if they won't sell at discount | brando69
10/1/2011 09:39 | first time we've had a decent spread for a while. 17/17.25 | brando69
06/1/2011 16:15 | "zedder - 4 Jan'11 - 11:34 - 513 of 530 edit I make the NAV 30.4p which includes the exercise of all options, the exercise of the warrants in BEM, the sale of the treasury shares back into the market and allows a 20% discount on all the PLUS holdings. Be interesting to compare this to the company figure for 31st December 2010 when they release it." So about a 5p differnce to what the company have just released. Quite sizable really and shows just how hard it is to keep track. I'll have to adjust down some of the holdings in the better performing shares, to account for the £530k of cash realised through sales on top of the FRA disposal." Having just re-read the recent RNS realised it states: "A full corporation tax provision is included in the portfolio valuation." I believe CT is 22% for small companies, but don't know if that applies to funds that hold shares in them? For now I've assumed they have top-sliced significantly on BEM (they've done that before when they have warrants available) by 2m shares, and I've shaved some off the RRR and RGM holdings as well, so down to 7m and 30m respectively. I've also had a stab at the CT liability. Now get a NAV of 25.2p (with todays prices), which does not include the BEM warrants. | zedder
06/1/2011 11:34 | BEM looking good for the portfolio today +17% | melody9999
06/1/2011 10:04 | SVE should buy some CNR Shares now | schweinswal
06/1/2011 09:36 | surely those warrants in belmore are going to be worth converting at 3.75p | brando69
05/1/2011 10:33 | I wonder has Bruce bought any CDG - which looks like a goer - big volume | maxbubble
05/1/2011 01:34 | Ok maybe Zedder will keep you guys updated now, I am or have been selling to take advantage of a few opportunities I have recently researched. However may well buy back in to SVE at anytime the share price gets good value. Good luck to all SVE holders. | outsider
04/1/2011 21:53 | oh.. sorry, my mistake | schweinswal
04/1/2011 18:54 | schweinswal, That's academic now. In todays RNS they state they have sold out of FRA. | zedder
04/1/2011 17:25 | Duluth Metals and Franconia Minerals Enter into Arrangement Agreement; Consolidates Position in the Duluth Complex, Minnesota | schweinswal
04/1/2011 16:31 | kefi up 33% today. | tricia51
04/1/2011 15:10 | backmarker, You are probably right ref TRK, and it was a wrench to sell 18k of 54k shares recently, but it has paid off handsomely. I view the TRK as more of a retirement holding (I'm only 48 so lots of time for them to be the next Apple!), but I'm happy to play shorter term on other shares. | zedder |
