04/1/2011 14:13 | portfolio value is up around another 500K today alone by my reckoning | brando69
04/1/2011 13:00 | Lisungwe +86% | schweinswal
04/1/2011 12:49 | sounds like the bb estimation of NAV is a bit overenthusiastic when compared with the company's own NAV, even allowing for their use of "conservative" estimated SPs. that said, the discount here is still too large, especially as the NAV continues to power ahead. for me the big advantage of SVE is that it invests in many of the stocks that I have on my buy list, but don't have enough dosh to invest in all of them. buying into SVE means every day has a few winners, and I don't have to fret at having bought the one that didn't go up. simples. zedder, why are you still in TRK ? I gave up on them long ago. SVE is probably much less risky than TRK, and with far more potential. | backmarker
04/1/2011 12:21 | can anyone answer my question re Woburn holding? | brando69
04/1/2011 12:12 | well, we've just had a very bullish update/NAV announcement. Am surprised they have it at just over 25p, but they are clearly sending a v bullish signal to the market in the latest update. nice to see them updating on such a regular basis too | brando69
04/1/2011 11:59 | fROM THE LAST A/CS....Accordingly, the Board is unable to give any estimate of the quantum or timing of returns. That stated, when profits have been realised and adequate cash is available, it is the intention of the Board to recommend the distribution of up to half the profits realised...... wE Should be getting a divi this year then! | tricia51
04/1/2011 11:35 | It is unclear if exercise of warrants (eg 2,333,333 BEM) is in their valuation (I will assume not). That could explain approx 1.5p of the difference. | zedder
04/1/2011 11:34 | "zedder - 31 Dec'10 - 16:34 - 497 of 512 edit I make the NAV 30.4p which includes the exercise of all options, the exercise of the warrants in BEM, the sale of the treasury shares back into the market and allows a 20% discount on all the PLUS holdings. Be interesting to compare this to the company figure for 31st December 2010 when they release it." So about a 5p differnce to what the company have just released. Quite sizable really and shows just how hard it is to keep track. I'll have to adjust down some of the holdings in the better performing shares, to account for the £530k of cash realised through sales on top of the FRA disposal. | zedder
04/1/2011 11:16 | Nice chunky amount for investing - interesting to see where that goes - probably a more liquid stock and no notification to market MIRL could multiply by 2 or 3 quite easily. Maybe Bruce is looking for a 20 bagger...lol | maxbubble
04/1/2011 10:10 | Well SVE moving where we thought it would. Just had a shock, been buying goi all morning and looks like I have single handedly pushed the price up 23% by buying less than 10k worth. Just did a dummytrade with selftrade and in all my 25 years of investing (ok many wernt online) I have never seen just 2 (not a typo) shares being offered online.....talk about no stock! (not a rec just an interesting story) | outsider
04/1/2011 09:49 | today`s TOP-5 up mover: Alba 25% Beowulf: 11% KEFi 13% Sunrise 11% Lisungwe 52% | schweinswal
04/1/2011 09:13 | whats the story with sve's holding in woburn? | brando69
04/1/2011 09:13 | bem up 10% sunrise up 11.5% kefi up 12% alba up 31% | brando69
04/1/2011 09:07 | good breakfast | brando69
04/1/2011 09:01 | up we go... | outsider
04/1/2011 08:52 | Alba up 26% today Sunrise up 10% Kefi and Beowulf also going strong | brando69
04/1/2011 08:49 | i'm off to get some breakfast, expect this to be up by the time i finish. mms won't be able to hold it at this price | brando69
04/1/2011 08:49 | melody - actually given that it's 17.4 to buy and 16.8 to sell, the actual spread is around 4% | brando69
04/1/2011 08:32 | plenty of positive action in the portfolio today so far | brando69
01/1/2011 16:49 | I grabbed 20,000 yesterday too with some difficulty. Whilst I don't normally entertain shares where the spread is greater than 5%, I made an exception here based on the NAV. I wanted some exposure to micro cap mining stocks and this looks a good play to me. Looked to add a few more when I'm in profit on existing. | melody9999
01/1/2011 11:18 | Another 10000 nibble for me yesterday. Tried all the option and with Barclays that was not far of the max. Couldn`t get 11000 !! Next RNS valuation should see this move on up. 20-30% discount really should see us in the 20's in Jan. Oh and a Happy new year to all holders, especially those with a head like mine today!! | mattboxy
31/12/2010 23:33 | zedder as i have said previously the share price wil be 30p + in the coming year. Commodities will continue to fly in 2011 and the companies SVE are trading in have great potential to multibag | divinausa1
31/12/2010 16:39 | zedder - 23 Dec'10 - 11:50 - 405 of 497 edit Much as I didn't want to, just sold 18000 TRK shares to buy another 30000 of these (now got 80000). Took ages to get and had to pay 13.3p as others obviously also topping up at the same time - just my luck! Hope to make at least 20%+ here and maybe get back into TRK later (although I've still got 36000 TRK). Didn't expect to achieve that 20% in a week!! | zedder
31/12/2010 16:34 | I make the NAV 30.4p which includes the exercise of all options, the exercise of the warrants in BEM, the sale of the treasury shares back into the market and allows a 20% discount on all the PLUS holdings. Be interesting to compare this to the company figure for 31st December 2010 when they release it. | zedder
31/12/2010 16:27 | I've got an almost identical set-up schweinswal, except I add in BEM.GB, GGP.GB, MIRL.GB, RGM.GB and RRR.GB to watch the PLUS trades on those 5 shares as well. | zedder |
