hey popgun, good chart. DO you know how I can get my charts to display properly? - it seems my charts only display for a small amount of time.

Hi Kael,

Nice chart. Here's one I did on the FAR3 thread a while back now. I'm just posting it here as it was then (one of my first attempts so it's a bit simple).

I bought SGI last week on fundamentals and didn't pay much attention to the chart. Now you mention it, here's a simple one (more pretty colours than in-depth technical analysis really, but it's all practice ;-) A stock like SGI is one I'd hold on fundamentals and faith as much as on the chart but there seem to be quite a few meaningful patterns in there.

Is there a way of posting my own charts up? In other words from my hard drive?

lol...why do i get the feeling most of us are hovering over that buy button? I must admit I was very close to adding another 10K today. I use charts and technically speaking we are close to support - there is also the possibility of a bounce up from @75p.

Hmm..let them sell I say - just means a nice top-up before the AGM heading my way :-)

It's just the bored and the punters who don't own a calculator imo.

Expecting very upbeat AGM with an increased special dividend and indications that they will beat expectations for the next 12 months. As you say - we should see some price action and a quick rise going into the AGM as people come back, probably paying for the share than when they sold it. Time to top-up if it falls any further.

I believe that T trade was a buy btw... AGM is three weeks away, Im sure many are hoping to buy back before then. did a bit a chart analysis but cant post here as it was in java but suffice to say still in its uptrend and is forming a bullish triangle.

mm's have tbh moved it down on relatively small volume over the past few days. Im confident the AGM will bring a good trading update, highllighting that they will at least meet, if not beat expectations.

MM's just hoovering up loads of small sells today at bargain prices as they walked the price down. Wouldn't dream of selling any myself ahead of the AGM, the special dividend (PRVD price shows no sign of falling) and the further 2.3M share buy backs.

No doubt sellers will be back buying at a higher price in a month or two when this one is rising fast. P/E is still only around 12 for excellent growth and a great outlook for the next 12 months. What more do people want.

Noticed PRVD were up near 3% on Nasdaq in a heavily falling market...bodes very well come june...

Yes it has - it probably will be until these buy backs finish - I imagine that those sells are being soaked up by a buyback in progress. I did say this it will be rangebound until this buyback policy has finished.

A new 8 page Seymour Pierce brokers note is also now available on the company website. Recommendation changed from buy on weakness to buy. A good overview.

I just ran a quick estimate from the profits he mentioned for next year and year after... gives a whopping PE of 7...lol... Of course if they excel themselves again as they did this year then things really are looking rosy! As it stands, it is very possible that these will triple in value from here...Yes thats right I said triple! Assuming they can reach 2.5million profit, a PE of 20 will place them on £2!

Share buy backs reward long terms holders, as opposed to huge one off dividends which people grab and then sell the shares. Much better idea in my opinion, and look at the MBY and TPT charts to see how share buy backs help long term holders and get rid of any weakness and selling in the shares.

Tinker I suggest you listen to the interview. Ah, just found out it hasnt been put on yet... :/

The question from what I remember was asked and was met with a pretty good response :)

You should also realise that share buybacks are good things...for one they increase EPS and therefore increase dividends :))

Why does the company want to buy back shares? Doesn't that suggest they don't know what to do with the money?

"special dividend may be paid & whether it will reduce the share price accordingly"

Of course any dividend will drop the shareprice usually by the amount of the dividend.
The only thing it does is alter the return on equity on the remaining equity and has the effect of 'gearing up' the remaining equity which would amplify any growth effect of current and future operations.

There is more to SGI than the dividend... but no doubt traders will jump in on the back of a special dividend. When it will be paid is anyones guess but the AGM will give clarification no doubt, and that is on the 15th April

undervalued ino - 2 questions

1 What's this got to do with SGI?

2 With a name like yours, what connection do you have with Innobox?
