04/6/2020 09:39 | SP remains depressed, possibly being considered for being taken back into private ownership? | gbh2
03/6/2020 12:56 | Maybe some good news as leaked. Be a long time with movement | fund1
03/6/2020 11:23 | I wonder if any of these old posters are still active and looking at buying SG as it recovers? | jasdan
03/6/2020 08:46 | Arai, you need to study the RNS’s issued in 2017 and 2018 to understand how close this company came to collapsing. The recovery since then has been difficult and slow as there were a lot of residual / historical issues to overcome but the full year results should demonstrate that SG were now managing to establish trading momentum once more and were turning the company round. It is for the market to catch up with this in due course but I can’t disagree with your earlier comments as the fall in the share price has been unreal for longer term shareholders. It’s now due to start rising to a more respectable level and has a decent corporate backer behind it which also owns 58% of the shares | jasdan
03/6/2020 08:38 | Looks like a retrace up to 3p plus may be on the cards today onwards as buying is re-emerging. Current buying price of 2.5p is what Phoenix paid for their stake so this must be badly oversold at the moment | jasdan
30/5/2020 12:12 | I think the annual results are going to be delayed due to problems getting auditing done in this Coronavirus environment. Are any auditors doing full audits at the moment? The Uk government has even allowed full year statements to be delayed by two months because of the lockdown so perhaps we will get the full update in June? | jasdan
30/5/2020 11:15 | Well still no results. The 4 weeks is almost up. We just need to wait for the 4 weeks or so. So if no results in the next week or two. I reckon its then looking good for a suspension prior to the announcement. That's not whining !.. That's known as investment opinion Regards All. | superiorshares
29/5/2020 23:05 | Oh my. Looking at the 10 yr graph this has been the short of the century. Did not realise companies like this actually existed. Roll back 6 years, wow. | arai
15/5/2020 19:17 | Never you mind Jasdan. I bought another today . Catalogue £160 . Definitely not 160 standard but a very good quality example. Reserve was 83 quid. No takers so it was offered to me for 72 and change. Into my bag it went. If their are any philatelist s on here ??? They will all know stamps just sent fetching good prices at this time. It has been subdued for at least a year I would have thought . At least if Stanley does not survive as a listed entity. I am sure it will continue as a private company. Which for us stamp collected will be a good thing. | superiorshares
13/5/2020 21:29 | You didn’t buy three identical stamps then? What stamp was it? | jasdan
13/5/2020 19:35 | Sorry button got stuck :-) | superiorshares
13/5/2020 19:34 | I bought a stamp today. Buy them most days. Corona has no bearing on it mind. Brandon stamps I got it off. David Brandon hell of a nice chap. It's catalogue price £110. Originally up for 90, was reduced to 70 and today I noticed a further reduction to 60. Into my bag it went. I will reiterate stamps are not selling quick. It's why all the dealers are doing offer. If you have plenty of cash buy up these stamps that are getting reduced by all the dealer's. It's not nailed on you will make money ?. But you are getting a better chance of success at these knock down price's. Ps The stamp I got today is a perfect example. | superiorshares

13/5/2020 16:10 | Must say that the Stay at home auction SG are holding that finishes on 17th May is certainly popular! Lots of bids throughout, there would not appear to be many unsold lots currently with four days to go. Should be a good earner for SG and reinforces your comments Sikh, that the lockdown is increasing people doing stamp collecting. | jasdan
10/5/2020 20:44 | I wonder why Stanley notified shareholders of a 45 per cent drop in sales in their Corona update. Odd that | superiorshares
10/5/2020 14:22 | As expected... lockdown leading to increase in stamp collecting... Covid-19 Virus Affect On The Stamp Market "Stamp collectors around the world suddenly have many hours of time to fill since they can't go out, go to work or watch sporting events. Hence, they spend time buying stamps. The dealers I spoke with all report a surge in orders, many from customers they have never had before." | sikhthetech
06/5/2020 18:41 | Ps. Financially I am very comfortable. What a moron you are ! | superiorshares
06/5/2020 18:39 | JASDIMM I am not going to engage with you anymore you are an odious person. Check your previous posts particularly the ones were you belittled me for working at Morrison s. It was temporary and I enjoyed it. Gbh2 or something like that aka as Jasdimm is the same odious person. You would be perplexed at pretty much anything as far as the stock market goes. You have done nothing but lie on here trying to ramp the price up. As you have lost buying in , and continued to do so all the way down. Odious person you deserve all your about to get from this share. You are about to find out that is not going to be s lot. Unlucky. | superiorshares
06/5/2020 18:28 | Must admit I am a bit perplexed that the yearly results aren’t out yet but the stock market has allowed all companies a two month delay in issuing any full year updates. From the looks of the last RNS, this would have made bullish reading as SG were experiencing a genuine recovery in sales up to late March. | jasdan
06/5/2020 18:09 | You can get a copy of Mays magazine for a penny. Free postage. Doing my philately today as I do every day. A dealer who I buy from has promulgated their May list. A stamp caught my eye as I would like it . I had seen the same stamp offered by the firm before. When I went through my past catalogue s. I spotted it in a 2019 one. It has been reduced by just under £100 . About 12 per cent for this particular stamp. It's across the board as far as the dealer's go . I just think it's selling at a snail s pace , been like that for a while. I don't think it's all Corona related. Hi Anyway I am that inept trader. My post of the 2nd of may. No results in 4 weeks or so. I fear after that they will be suspended prior. Jasdimm you can tell me how wrong I am in about 5 weeks time. | superiorshares
06/5/2020 17:53 | May’s online auction has quite a few very cheap lots in it. Very interesting I must admit the SG website is a class act. | jasdan
04/5/2020 20:15 | They stopped the free magazine perk in November | jasdan
04/5/2020 19:42 | Things don't look good - they have stoped my shareholder perk of a free S.G magazine. Maybe I should cut my loss and call it a day. | snowhill
02/5/2020 20:47 | Haha I bought 500 quids worth at 4p an age ago. As a philatelist showing support. Check my posts on this all the way back to when it was 3 pound odd You can see them in my profile. Nothing inept about it. It's what's known as opinion and mine was totally spot on as far as SGI goes. I repeat if the results arnt announced within 4 weeks or so . I have a feeling they will be suspended prior to the announcement, pending clarification of their financial position. For the record my memorable losses Maddox computer services British BioTechnology Baltimore Technologies Memorable gains Henderson far East income Seacon holdings Genus.. well done to Picston shottle xx. Mad cow provided the opportunity. | superiorshares |
