The shares are fairly illiquid so it would not take too many purchases to make the shares rally sharply.
It will be interesting to see how busy the shop is next week. It looks like everything is now set for SG to start trading in the black again and at some point the shares will have to catch up. A few years ago the market capitalisation of SGI was north of £200m so there’s a lot of ground to make up

Not many days to wait until you can once again enter the fabulous shop and get to meet the knowledgeable staff.

In the mean time you can vote but hurry:

"Voting for the 2021 SG Blues Competition is NOW OPEN, register your account to vote on this years entries

Voting will close 08/04 with all winners announced on 09/04/2021"

You too could be a winner if you purchased a few more shares in SGI. :-)

Jasdana.
Have a look at Embassy and UPA upcoming auctions . Some good stamps there . Closing date for both 13th April . You will not be able to buy the ones I am bidding on . I will ensure that
Regards my dear

Just waiting now for the shares to be rerated, perhaps an analyst saw them and will start pushing the stock.
Looks like their trading is improved during the pandemic, once we are out of the pandemic it should be all guns blazing

Jasdan also when you see the stamp Sales in the results . Bear in mind in this update , they state they managed to shift a large block of stock . Now that will have gone to another dealer and it would have been way off full retail price . What it will do though is skew the perception of overall demand. When those results are published

Jasdan you are a hoot .
There is nothing positive in that update . It's as I said this year is going to be a loss.
They did say they had been given another years grace on the loan .
So if they are still trading at a loss in 2022. That will be endex for present holders.
" The Stamp Market is red hot ".. where did you get that from
As I said I look at Stamps all day on the internet . Stamp Sales at best are static . You can get discounts off all the main dealers including Stanley .

Stick to your Bitcoin nonsense that might dupe a few mugs more ?

When the penny black drops?

If my calculations are correct, they are trading negatively but only just. Any pronounced period of normality is going to bring them roaring back into the black.

Costs have been decimated, meanwhile the stamp market is red hot, just look at the recent auction results. They just need more turnover, but to get that oompf, they need the shop to reopen, life to restart in London, and exhibitions to resume. All of those should shortly be ticked off, meaning by autumn things should be rolling along very nicely indeed. This is really a company going through dramatic changes, fast.

I cannot see the share price staying at these lowly levels once it becomes more evident to everyone. I'd say they were trading at 1/10 of their expected share price - i.e. the shares should have been around 30p - 35p; not 3p!

I suspect when the penny drops it will be a sharp move up.

Trading increased and cash burn decreased. Covenants waived for another year.

Quite a good update in the circumstances

ALS, you might have thought it was an April Fools RNS but there has been no rush to sell or mark the stock down, as the market looks to the future.

There’s clearly walls of money hitting stamp collecting looking at these auction results. Looks very positive for the rest of the year

Looks like SG’s two day auction was a roaring success. Very little left unsold on either day and total sale proceeds around £750,000 including their mark up.

SG’s share of this could be quite high as I suspect quite a few lots were stock items not trade. Given the many times lots went multiple times over estimates, this must have been a substantial earner for SG.

I see the next auction is India - that will be red hot.

Jasdan . I want a collection of Antique oil lamps ( cranberry glass types and some art nouveau types ). I want some cranberry crackle glass jugs and I am going to get some Blue John bowls and vases. I'm going to display them all mixed together on a Antique circular table . A rustic country type one . Not sure from where ?
Yes I'm weird like that :-)

There’s a pretty strong auction offering this week and I imagine the wall of saved up funds the public have raised over the last year will at least in part be spent on collectibles including stamps and coins.

There seems to be another wave of interest in collectibles going on. You know, Pokémon cards, non-fungible tokens etc. Has anyone seen any evidence of this spreading into the old school realm stamps and coins? I haven't, but surely, eventually... hopefully SGI marketing dept on the case.

The Arien ram with the Golden Fleece will emerge from the fire you speak of Super Troops and rescue those that maybe are suffering from the trauma that keeps them here along with those that just collect stamps before the next sign of the zodiac rises.

We agree to disagree Jasdan . I hope you are right because I am not a holder.
My great profit from my short some years ago. Was achieved with all the modern technology , that is I collect stamps and my head said , what they were saying didn't ring true . That is the share pushers , I refer too. The expert financial Wizards ??????
What I say now is , I still collect stamps and you can get top quality from anywhere , at a discount around 15 per cent . That includes Stanley .
Stamps sales are not on fire .
I think the year end will show a continued loss and trauma for present holders

I think you’re wrong, the company is stable on it’s credit facility and as far as I am aware is in the same financial position as in November.
Still, when they update us that the shop is going to reopen again soon it would hardly hurt to provide a brief update on trading and debt positions. I believe around now their covenants are tested?

I expect to see a massive dilution of present shareholders .
The end of year results are approaching, it will be another Loss and the credit facility is dry .
