Thanks for your well thought out and informative comment DMF.

All financials are taking a hit. If you look at the bond prices of some well capitalised insurers they are similar to those of some more risky banks. Generally they are covered by the same analysts who don't really understand the differences in solvency requirements. I think this is a d event bet now, good yield and a lot of overseas earnings that would benefit from the weak pound.

Decent enough article. Like others I find the business model hard to understand, but the headline results and yield indicate these are undervalued.
