Reassuring update today, plenty of cash available, government aid and using furlough scheme. Best of all, doing their bit for the NHS.

Hopefully Covid19 will soon be a thing of the past and SGC will be back to 150p.

Safe bet at this price IMO.

Its crashing down now. So if I sell tomorrow morning for hopefully 65p and buy for 50p will save me losing a fair amount.

I got 5k in Stagecoach. I will buy again when it hits low 50s and then hold for as long as it takes. If that be 1 year or even 2 years I reckon I will make a few quid.

Time to get out. This is going to crash heavy now. The full impact of people not using the buses will show.

I wouldn't be in any travel company right now. Talk of mass lockdown across Europe, possibly even UK if Boris gives the order.

Not too long ago Stagecoach showed an interest in taking over NEX.
Perhaps, considering the age of shareholders like Souter, it is nearing the time for NEX to consider taking over Stagecoach.

I don't expect Stagecoach to be on the backfoot for long, hence why I'm happy to top up. Long term they are in pole position within the UK bus market & I fully expect them to start expanding more aggressively overseas.

I personally would have liked them to bid for Arriva Group's European arm, which they may well have done. However, they can't bid for all of Arriva Group as they are already too dominant in the UK bus market.

Cool, I'll be able to have some more top-ups around 120p ish with a 6% yield.

I'd disagree with international opportunities looking challenging, Stagecoach have always struggled with expanding internally and not chosen wisely. Just look at NX Group, more of their business is international than UK based now, they're certainly not struggling.

Stagecoach really need to diversify away from just being reliant on UK Bus market, hopefully with Government backing the bus may re-invent itself with all the clean air / car exclusion zones planned it should benefit Stagecoach due to it's scale. Stagecoach are generally more innovative than most the other groups as well.

Any idea what caused the 7% drop today?

As my old employer I have total faith in where the share price is heading. Rail Divisions drag the companies down. My other ex employers are a good example of this. A good stock to be in.

A solid set of results, happy to hold. It will be interesting to see how well Avanti West Coast and the Italian government manage to run the West Coast line. Maybe we're better off without it!

When a city has park and ride, use it, it’s cheap, convenient and gets you right in to the centre, no hassle, York has five or six, always use them, £3.80 day return!

I called the company yesterday and the half yearly results are due out on Wednesday next week apparently.
