This sounds interesting; potential competition? ''HawkEye 360 is delivering a revolutionary source of global knowledge based on radio frequency (RF) geospatial intelligence to those working to make the world a safer place. The company operates the first-of-its-kind commercial satellite constellation to detect, characterise, and geolocate a broad range of RF signals , revealing hidden and previously uncharted activities across land, sea and air. Hawkeye 360's advanced analytical products help first responders save lives, law enforcement halt hidden illegal activities, and telecoms operators utilise spectrum. Its capabilities include mapping signals of interest, creating surveys of global spectrum usage, and providing deeper visibility of maritime activities. HawkEye 360 is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, USA.''

Problem Alter is the analysis is fact-this VSP is looking decidedly old and as each month goes by, it’s legitimacy has got to be questioned. You then add in the accounting treatment of the 2017 ‘impaired̵7; contract, the proverbial elephant in the room, and you start to wobble.

It is literally 5 years since the infamous jam stunt. You then walk forwards 4/5 years and the chat is about dividends.Let’s talk about dividends when we see positive cash flow-not from the shareholders or lenders but from customers. How many years has this company made a profit in the 15 odd years since it floated.

Come on ST-show us some hard signed contracts with cash

I've had homeboy filtered as a troll for ages. Only pops up when he/she can sow discontent. Clearly hasn't really learned anything about the work involved in getting a big contract across the line. Yes, my belief in SRT is based on knowing a damn sight more than him/her and not being out to short the stock.

Share the frustration - given the senior level delegations from both Saudi and Bahrain in Glasgow and specific discussions/pledges being held/made on maritime conservation, if either party was serious now is surely the moment to sign. Otherwise you’d have to challenge where on the priority list MDA really is!

this is from 2017 final results,,,

"I am pleased to report that four projects located in the Middle East and Asia with an aggregate value of approximately £60 million appear to have made significant progress towards contract signing during the year, with several others also making key break throughs."

now over FOUR YEARS LATER, still waiting, still think this year's the year do ya

nothing's happening

I agree-the words IF and WHEN have become emotionally attached to the ever present but highly shy and evasive VSP.It must be 5 years since the jam stunt.

The re rating of SRT will begin in earnest with the confirmation of the first of the much quoted and long awaited contracts. Proof that the buses really do exist.
Recent modest share price movements have tended to suggest optimism early in the week, followed by more disappointment by Friday when yet another week has passed with no news.
Just checked my collectors' jar of jam. Definitely for ornament only. Mrs Goodapple continues to look at it with curiosity.

Perhaps worth working it backwards: spread the contract values over the expected timespan, stick in an expected max/min profit, work out the earnings, stick in a max/min rating - hey presto, some markers.

Otherwise the sanity of any share price rises can only be judged by a finger in the air.

The world, apart from China, is learning to live with Covid. Government departments are trying to catch up on issuing contracts. If (cynics will say a big if) Mr T secures £75 million of contracts before New Year, plus recurring revenues, how will market rate this one?

LaV yes, but I think you may also need the handheld device to operate the main unit which bumps up the cost. Whatever, SRT clearly thought the price was high so my assumption is Nexus could be possibly be aimed at mid 1-2k. Pure guesswork obviously.

The Vesper product seems to retail at £1800/€2,200 odd - I don't know if there are different options. So the price point seems a bit moot, without canibalising the existing range. No doubt Srt will have looked at all that before embarking on quite a long and expensive development cycle and would be unlikely to be excited about it now otherwise.

This is the Vespermarine Cortex which sounds similar to Nexus

My understanding is that they have lined up 6 or7 of the top oems for discussions at METS regarding Nexus. It’s pretty clear SRT think they have a winner with this product and that if one oem wants it the others will not want to be unable to offer it too.

Price will be “competitive” and although not the first to hit the market Srt think they have the best product. Vesper has something similar but less sophisticated and significantly more expensive I believe.

Seeing how excited everyone was at the AGM, I doubt there will be much fanfare until some concrete news emerges. That’s not to say it isn’t going to be possible to get a feel for how it goes at METS. Just don’t expect an rns any time soon.

The Twitter 'teaser' looks good. Are we likely to hear how positive reaction is (in general) to Nexus after METS?

I understand that Nexus is being presented to the main OEM manufacturers (Raymarine etc) at METS in Amsterdam November 16 to 18. The anticipated full launch is programmed for METs the following year. This will include EMTRAK and all the OEM manufacturers who buy into the concept. Price is not being discussed at this time.

Container shipping rates going through the roof. Ports chock-a-block. Enormous profits being made. Ports and waterways have a problem. Ports have the money. SRT has part of the solution. DAS. Digital ATONS. I am expecting(hoping!)that Louise will soon be inundated with orders. It will not be about price but 'When can you deliver?'

I think the R&D that SRT do is already covered as software and hardware. They don't develop cloud stuff nor 'data' in that sense. Their customers will hold and process their own data with the software SRT provides. Most, if not all, of their R&D is in the UK already, staff costs really, so if the rules tighten about that they should be fine.

I'm wondering if this aspect of the budget is helpful to SRT:

"Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced that tax relief on research and development (R&D) will change.

It will expand to cover cloud computing and data.

Sunak said: “The current system subsidises R&D happening outside the UK. That is not fair, and inconsistent with what is happening in other countries.

“From April 2023 the relief will have to subsidise investment at home,” he said.

Details are scant so maybe it's little change from current treatment but the mention of "data" had me wondering if that opens up opportunity since data is a large part of what SRT is providing. Anyone know more than I - highly likely I suspect.
