It’s all IFs though CM-I agree it will be transformational IF……

It all lives or dies on the VSP-and that is aging, which is different to maturing given we all wait for contracts with real cash receipts to drop

I think I have been here long enough to understand the SRT business in quite a bit of depth. I went to the AGM and listened to the detailed presentation. Today I have listened to the AGM presentation again, via the website. I can honestly say that my understanding of the business has increased considerably by virtue of listening to that presentation again.
Any serious investor should spend some time and listen to it again.
LAV mentioned Indonesia and I suspect that he knows more about SRT than most of us. ST mentioned a Country that operates a blue and green book. My understanding is that Indonesia operates such a system. Projects move from one colour to the next when the budget has been finally approved. My reading of the mention of coloured books is that an Indonesian project is well underway. If that is the case the size of the project will dwarf any projects that have been identified so far. The imminent Saudi contract will be a game changer ($60 million?). Don't expect to buy shares less than 50p. However, if ST can haul in an Indonesian contract.......................

Good find Piedro.

I dpn't know how aware Global Fishing Watch are about the low-cost tracking technologies available, but I would be surprised if the various parts of the Indonesian government involved in fisheries and coastal management were not taking notice of what their neighbour is doing and has planned for the future.

Surely it's time for a contract with one of the west coast Africa countries

Horizon or Amberspace is still vapourware. The satellites are still under construction hence the extensive use of the word "will" in the descriptions. They won't have a constellation for a couple of years so end product is years away. They also have UK government funding which is probably a kiss of death :-)

The UK Navy has a highly regarded intelligence arm. SRT provides a potential handle. The UK Navy Gulf operation is based in Bahrain, so the SRT system would be well understood. Maritime Domain Management is a clue. I suspect the priorities are 1. China. 2. Russia. 3. Iran. 4. France.
China is swallowing a lot of fish belonging to other Countries. Many of these Countries would probably like a SRT system, but cannot afford it. Even Indonesia and Vietnam are struggling after Covid. Will the UK use its International Aid to support fishing? The payback would be that the UK has access to the SRT produced data.

Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, the First Sea Lord, is to be the new Head of the Armed Forces. Is this relevant?
The present Gov wants to project sea power as a foreign policy.
I would not be surprised if SRT is being talked about by MI6. Punters on this board will say that I am crackers. I am expecting / hoping that the Uk gov will start to underwrite some foreign contracts. Soft but effective value for money influence .

I think if it wasn’t for covid, I’d have sold most of my shares down. ie. sorting out contracts and details must have been really difficult in the last 18 months. I think thats a reasonable reason for the latest delays.

Without it, a different story really.

I suspect most shareholders are so long in this that selling out now would be in the horrible knowledge of then missing out after so long.

If this was a private equity play, the market value would be much lower and potentially precarious.A loss of this magnitude in just 6 months on tiny turnover needs continuous believers who are happy to throw money at it.

To be fair to ST he has stuck at it-he’s been CEO for coming up for two decades yet the company is still living on the jam tomorrow yarn. The old VSP argument can only carry sway for so long before it’s existence and verification is questioned-the world spins ever faster but these customers seem in no hurry whatsoever.

This is an educated board which is unusual nowadays - thanks guys.

I suspect anyone who would have sold, will have done so some time ago. That in itself isn't a bad place to be. Also means the upside is large. Having said that a market cap of £61m is quite alot for the figures its been doing.

For those on on the stockopedia site , what I found intersting today was how there was basically no comment on the daily discussion forum even though it was one highlighted in the daily briefing.

Hope Mr C doesn't mind but here is the only additional comment from him which I have copied in below:

"Progress with new pending contracts with a value of approximately £71m was as expected and are expected to commence during the second half." That jam jar lid is very tight. The £71m was "very near term" in July! [SP=37.55 Cap=62m].

Lets hope we have the last laugh.......have a good weekend all.
