06/11/2020 08:23 | Agreed, too cheap againGood, but still below prices earlier in the year with US gambling booming | the white house
06/11/2020 08:17 | Story It has its own gambling venues in Connecticut, although these are fairly small and have had a tough time during Covid, but also has 29,000 betting terminals across 38 countries for various clients, spanning sports betting and lotteries. | trentendboy
06/11/2020 08:09 | Far too cheap - funny how all of this leaks out and the share price went up so much from 11p This shows there will be more consolidation happening. Far far too cheap but anyway, annoying to have missed this large rise (although I have a core holding from a much higher entry price) | trentendboy
06/11/2020 07:07 | Sportech plc ("Sportech" or the "Company") Possible Offer for Sportech The Board of Sportech notes yesterday evening's announcement by Standard General L.P. ("Standard General"). The Board confirms that it received two approaches from Standard General about a possible cash offer for Sportech, initially at 25.0 pence and subsequently at 28.5 pence per Sportech share. The Board unanimously rejected Standard General's latest proposal, which it believes fundamentally undervalues Sportech's businesses and prospects. In accordance with Rule 2.6(a) of the Takeover Code, Standard General is required, by not later than 5.00 p.m. on 3 December 2020, to either announce a firm intention to make an offer for Sportech in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Takeover Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer, in which case the announcement will be treated as a statement to which Rule 2.8 of the Takeover Code applies. This deadline can be extended with the consent of the Panel in accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the Takeover Code. | mirabeau

25/10/2020 07:15 | Spreadex going long to cover long positions from punters I am sureThey make money either way | trentendboy
25/10/2020 01:37 | With the US elections in progress, nothing is going to be tabled in Connecticut until January 2021 at the earliest. Senator Cathey Osten plans to resubmit her bill in January for the third time, if re-elected, which favours the tribes, which are in her constituency. The gist of this is that sports betting is a casino game and therefore the tribes have exclusivity. The Rhode Island Supreme Court ruled along these lines. Personally, I don't understand why betting on horses or greyhounds would not be a casino game on this basis. What's the difference between betting on a horse winning a race and a football team winning a match? | nod
25/10/2020 01:12 | To my untrained eye, it looks like someone is gradually accumulating. | nod
22/10/2020 08:56 | Good to see one of my spread betting companies Spreadex going long on 400K units. I think we can assume they know more than most, and me, about industry stuff and gives a huge vote of confidence that up is more likely than down here... | the white house
03/10/2020 22:19 | Yep - gross stupidity not sorting a dealState needs the revenues and SPO perfectly set IF only they could sort a dealIdiots | trentendboy
01/10/2020 21:47 | Connecticut has been losing millions in gambling bets as CT residents have shifted their betting to neighbouring states, who also offer sports betting. This is hurting Sportech, the Tribes' casinos, and CT tax income. It's not a case of just missing out on sports bets, losses are greater than that, and they will have to work very hard to win back lost punters. | nod
30/9/2020 15:07 | Hills gone now at 272p share 888 up 21% today on special divi and good results 888 should be next to fall. SPO presumably riding the back of that...... | finkie
29/9/2020 11:40 | Nod you are right, having RG increase his holding will be seen as a positive. Other US states are being pushed hard to reform and I'm sure Connecticut will have to follow suit soon. Cash has got to come from somewhere to pay for this Covid mess! | smithless
25/9/2020 04:13 | Nice to see Richard Griffiths holding over 8%He often gets involved in takeovers and mergers. | nod
23/9/2020 12:05 | major shareholder scaled down today? price up anyway perhaps on hills climb good news day for everyone who knows exactly why apart from above and market generally better today.... | finkie
17/9/2020 12:15 | These are good points but they have enough cash to get them through for a while. The online and Tote stuff is global and well embedded. Just needs Connecticut to fall in line then we will be flying | trentendboy
16/9/2020 13:19 | whilst shareholder loyalty is to be applauded im not convinced this will make it, i think its at a share price level (with imminent sector consolidation) that screams zero for shareholders and a nice turn for someone later down the line. it loses money and it appears to be losing money at its last throw of the dice on these physical venues it doesnt have the scale or muscle to keep getting it wrong. William Hill was a dog that hit 30p in March and is now 220p that has things people want and are happy to increase the price daily to get hold off....this just doesnt, proof is in the last 6 months for me, its tried and failed to gain traction. | finkie
15/9/2020 07:12 | Rest of the sector massively upHills up over ten percent today alone | trentendboy
15/9/2020 07:12 | InterestingIt is stupid SPO big loser from being in this backward state | trentendboy |
