Posted at 06/9/2023 07:48 by finkie You are correct there has been sales and returns throughout and the loss isn’t 80% but SPO has still burnt probably 40% of your cash. It’s still dire in my book. |
Posted at 16/8/2023 08:55 by finkie is the dividend which arrives this week taxable as income even though you are probably 30-70% down on the stock?! |
Posted at 09/8/2023 08:05 by finkie I’m with ii and had the divi 4th august.Watch now the overall maths as your residual holding drops below 100p (due to market weakness of course) |
Posted at 27/7/2023 14:04 by typo56 Sorry, but whilst I understand the 6pm may be 'technically correct' with regard to the record date, it is surely not correct for the ex-dividend date today? This afternoon's statement seems to avoid admitting they got it wrong in Monday's RNS. |
Posted at 27/7/2023 12:48 by harrygas From the companyThank you for your inquiry and bringing this to our attention. The Record Date for shareholders entitlement to the 35p dividend, is 28th July, 6pm. (Tomorrow after close) The ex-dividend date is guidance based on the agreed settlement when buying/selling shares. For T+2 settlement those buying shares today would not be on the Register at the Record date and time, and therefore not entitled to the dividend. If one were to agree a transaction on T+1, today then that would be different. I appreciate the potential confusion raised regarding the noting of a 6pm time and whilst technically correct, the Company has released clarification. |
Posted at 27/7/2023 08:59 by typo56 Have they complied with the London Stock Exchange Rules on Dividend Procedure?"If a dividend is to be made ex, the dividend must be declared via a PIP or notified to the Exchange at least six business days before the proposed record date, otherwise the ex dividend date may be deferred until the following week" The dividend was notified in RNS on Monday, 24 July with record date tomorrow, 27 July. I emailed company for clarification shortly after open. No response yet. |
Posted at 27/7/2023 07:14 by typo56 It looks like it's trading ex-div from open this morning.Odd for the company to have said, "The ex-dividend date in respect of the distribution is 6.00 p.m. on 27 July 2023"? I suspect the RNS should have read, "The ex-dividend date in respect of the distribution is 8.00 a.m. on 27 July 2023". If so, it's a serious mistake to make when 20% is at stake and creates a false market, with buyers and sellers not completely sure as it whether they will qualify for the 35p dividend. |
