29/5/2020 03:28 | In the USA decisions about reopening seem to be at the district level. Laurel Park in Maryland restarts racing on 30 May. | nod
29/5/2020 03:13 | Horse racing is scheduled to restart in England on 1 June and in Scotland on 22 June. Horse and greyhound racing are the main part of our bet processing.Australia | nod
28/5/2020 21:51 | At last - move back to 20p on the cards just for startersSector consolidation will speed up now with some insane valuations out there | trentendboy
20/5/2020 08:12 | Interesting to see the size of William Hills VAT claim - 150 million. Reminds me of the SPO football pools. Got a nice special divided out of that (before the share price fall). | trentendboy
19/5/2020 12:08 | And up now - was a strange move yesterdayWent long - hoping to get back to 20p - not such a big stretch given US gambling news | trentendboy
18/5/2020 16:30 | Ended flatCould not resist a cheeky December spreadbetNasty spread though which is frustrating - should never be this large | trentendboy
18/5/2020 15:01 | Not sure I understand the fall todaySpread very large which is annoying But gaming sector flying yet this fallsTO still out there, some online stuff still strongWhat is dragging it back?Tempted to buy as out of line for some reason | trentendboy
04/5/2020 10:10 | Our greyhound racing resumes tomorrow in New Zealand. All bets are on. Meanwhile, our Auckland Warriors rugby team landed in Australia today to prepare for the restart of NRL Rugby in a few weeks. Matches will initially be behind closed doors and a new TV deal has been struck. Everyone is desperate for sport. | nod
17/4/2020 08:34 | This will fly back up over £1 through time, the company will have reduced its overheads dramatically and now that it has been proven that the majority of Tech guys can work from home, theres no need to have large office space costs on the companies books, this along with New Products and clear vision from The CEO will show Sportech headed back to a bright future. | jabers1
17/4/2020 08:14 | Took a starter position here, US opening up the economy.Yes, early days but the early bird gets the fat worm, no ? | 2toptrader
17/4/2020 08:08 | Yes, a good deal - they have a strong TOTE position. Will make them an attractive TO target Still way to cheap but a hard share to trade | trentendboy
17/4/2020 07:18 | Nice little RNS.... | gozo
10/4/2020 11:45 | Never really understood the fall in SPO Some nice dividends in recent years but the fall from 30 to here seems overdone although exposure to physical and sports is the worryNot quite but time imo | trentendboy
27/3/2020 09:59 | Also gone long Hills - TO almost a certainty once things calm down so a lot of value there. E-gaming deal in Vegas could be large opportunity with first mover advantage. 888 I took some sub-£1 - not really sports dependent and seeing a lot of casino action. GVC also have a strong casino arm (where they started out). People at home likely to gamble and GVC have a lot of the top brands - I agree poker will be popular as I know from experience one can waste many many hours playing poker. If smaller competition go to the wall they could pick up a lot of market share and MGM likely to push harder into online now. PTEC is the other I have been going long on - they have lot there way but their financial trading arm will be flying at the moment (from worst to best performing i guess). They also have the software and live dealer stuff that will be doing well. Italy moving online should help them also. Big risk is GMR and WEB - not convinced yet. GAN still seem to have the best combination of being relatively safe but with massive upside potential in the future. Good combination in these uncertain times. | trentendboy
27/3/2020 08:50 | Nod and Trent you are specialists in the gaming world, where do you see value, I have topped up on hills at 40p only because I shouldn’t have bought a slug of them a while ago not keen on company and felt I had to average down, GVC at 370p after selling some at 800 and 888 have loads but bought some more at the recent lows of 85/90 but hold many more at a loss currently....I presume all are doing ok with casino poker USA racing...punters always find a reason to play and I know I have had bets at vaal and probably tampa later today! ;-) | finkie
24/3/2020 10:23 | That is my reading alsoBetter gaming stocks out there but equally not sellingOnly logical move although 100 percent upside from here very possibleBut too risky at present | trentendboy
24/3/2020 10:02 | Sportech is currently a business based around horse racing and greyhound racing - both track-side and online with its Connecticut sports restaurants providing online TV and betting (with a meal and a few drinks). I would not sell SPO at this price but neither would I buy as the future is still unpredictable. In the worst case COVID19 could continue to spread across North America and keep sports facilities closed for another six months or more. In the best case it could die out early in the northern hemisphere summer (June?) - as the SARS coronavirus did in 2003. The wildcard is that Connecticut grants a sports betting license to SPO - as proposed by legislatures in the current Bill (but is opposed by the tribes who want a monopoly). | nod
24/3/2020 08:58 | Good 888 update but SPO too sports relatedPlus physical sports barsNot quite ready to go long SPO but does seem overdone fallHmmm | trentendboy
23/3/2020 11:59 | Of course - all depends on how robust SPO are - might be able to get an increase in market share once all of this washes out Really hard to gauge how resilient SPO are but the drop seems over done - based on low liquidity I guess | trentendboy
22/3/2020 01:51 | Many horse racing meets have been called off and others are spectator free. Sportech processes the tote bets and these are probably significantly down.https://www.twi | nod
21/3/2020 09:12 | Got to think there is value here No debt etcHmmmmNot so strong online Really need to go over accounts again | trentendboy
20/3/2020 20:11 | Only one trade today, but it was a sell. Had it been a buy, we may have been 10% up. | nod
18/3/2020 10:36 | Fall today makes no sense FFS | trentendboy
16/3/2020 10:49 | Brace yourselveshttps://fi | nod |
