02/12/2019 20:46 | There was a shareholder rebellion at the AGM in May when 33% voted against the Remuneration Report and similar number against one of the directors. Without the Cash Cow of the Pools business and the squeezing of margins in Venues, SPO may be eroding its healthy cash position. | nod
02/12/2019 18:51 | They need to hurry up and deliver as the value of this company is way below where it should be. There is chat in the city that one of the larger shareholders is going to push for change if the current board do not deliver shareholder value in the coming months. | jabers
02/12/2019 13:27 | this is a weird share, decent update but rock bottom valuation and not even a slight wiff of price appreciation normally seen elsewhere, actually now dropping back to 32p to sell abeit always a large spread due to low volumes | finkie
27/11/2019 08:13 | The press comments were all favourable. None I've read put a negative spin on the update, which is good. | nod
26/11/2019 08:03 | I thought the statement was decent - surprised at the muted share price responseThey are clearly profit focussed with the new management | trentendboy
26/11/2019 01:15 | The early trading update will have caught a few off guard. It was due on Wednesday.Anyway, reasonably positive with reduced costs improving earnings. There are going to be some write downs in the final results due in March 2020. | nod
06/11/2019 16:25 | US state votes | trentendboy
06/11/2019 13:01 | whats occuring today peeps! | finkie
30/10/2019 08:57 | Nice postFrustrating | trentendboy
30/10/2019 01:30 | SPO is relying on getting a slice of the Connecticut pie, where we have our sports venues. However, CT is locked in stalemate as the Tribes want exclusivity. It looks like it will resume in February 2020. In the meantime, CT is losing gambling revenues to all its neighbouring States, including the Tribes casinos in CT."Verrengia declared his goal is for the parties to come to an agreement by the end of the next session, which starts in February. Despite the stalemate, Butler is optimistic that sports betting soon will be authorized in Connecticut."People ask me what's the probability of getting sports betting in Connecticut," Butler said. "It's 100%. We're going to get it done. We have to figure it out; there's no way around it. We need to be competitive from the state's perspective and as two tribal nations, so we're going to do that." | nod
29/10/2019 08:16 | Creeping up - I wonder if we will get some decent numbersAll about the US - surprising such little action | trentendboy
28/10/2019 07:55 | trading update on Wednesday 27 November 2019 fingers crossed | nod
22/10/2019 08:35 | just bought a few more at 32.38p | finkie
22/10/2019 08:02 | something is going down might be worth a top up here | trentendboy
22/10/2019 07:28 | What’s occurring then? 29p now 34p to buy in spo share price movement terms ‘that’s mega’ | finkie
07/10/2019 06:09 | Yep, the key point. You would think that state would pull its finger out | trentendboy
07/10/2019 03:47 | TEB, possibly. Or, they just think its too cheap on fundamentals. In 2017, SPO said they had at least two interested parties. Presumably, they did not want to pay what SPO wanted. We need to get a sports betting contract in the USA. The State of Connecticut is not making much progress. Despite being one of the expected first-movers, it has been left behind by neighbouring States. | nod
04/10/2019 12:48 | There's the RNS. Lombard increased to 24.64% | nod
03/10/2019 18:38 | We were up for sale in early 2018. The Board are happy to sell the company at a fair price. Only a matter of time. As GBP falls we get cheaper.Today's trading volume was over 7.4 million shares. We may have an RNS if one of the major shareholders is involved. | nod
03/10/2019 09:26 | Someone taking a position? A simple asset to buy. I was thinking GVC had little to buy but SPO would be a nice addition to their portfolio. Small but nice assets in the US | trentendboy
03/10/2019 08:59 | A bunch of fairly large trades this morning has moved the share price a little. It's by far the largest trading day in the past three months. | nod
02/10/2019 12:50 | Nod the only thing that relates to bump is the share price!!!! Well staying down anyway, not even a takeover in the gaming sector that makes a dog like WMH rise moves this!!!! | finkie
02/9/2019 23:24 | BUMP 50:50 is an interesting business. I have tended to skip over Bump in company reports as there are much bigger parts to our business. I went back to read the annual report section on Bump. Revenues increased 30% to 1.5 million. Bump has only five staff (was four the year before). EBIT was 0.5 million, which dropped a little due to investments to grow the business. Some big name sports clubs and universities joined last year and growth has continued with new customers since year end. Focus is on the USA but it's a business that could operate in many countries. | nod
01/9/2019 10:38 | Interesting article - why regulated gaming is good for SPOIn theory good monopoly position still | trentendboy |
