12/11/2020 14:40 | Very true - some crazy intraday swings of late | prettygreen
12/11/2020 14:12 | I agree yet the volume is relatively high and i guess some chartists are pointing to broken support levels etc.The markets are feral just now. | steeplejack
12/11/2020 14:05 | 9% off on a decent update ? Overdone imho | prettygreen
12/11/2020 11:41 | In a note on Thursday, analysts at Liberum retained their ‘buy’ rating and 320p target price on the stock, saying they believed the company is “building up a solid long term business”, with weakness in its GPS accuracy testing products for missiles and drones being compensated by the Lifecycle Service Assurance strength, both in terms of revenue growth and margins. 12/11/2020 11:19 | It's now back at the July support, and on the 2-year trend line. If I wasn't in it already, for a great 5G play like this, i'd be buying here. | jdh1602
12/11/2020 09:23 | That's exactly it,sector rotation and not very well considered sector rotation..Both sides of the pond, there's a shaking out of the Covid favourites (especially tech) and a drive towards spurious recovery stocks. | steeplejack
12/11/2020 09:00 | Just had a quick glance, Mkt appears irrational at the moment, with struggling companies rallying, It may be the case of sector rotation, selling the winners and buying bombed out sectors. Not many companies have had positive growth through the pandemic, Spirents growth should increase as the pandemic ends. | games
12/11/2020 08:54 | Volex is the same, released strong results and was marked down almost 10% at open and is slowly heading back up.Seems to be a theme at the moment, especially in shares that have done well during covid. | jamessmith23
12/11/2020 08:47 | FWIW I dont think it was dissappointing. its just that in todays market unless your figures are exceptional you run the risk of the share price getting marked down, sometimes disproportionally . | dicktrade
12/11/2020 08:38 | I wouldn't say dissapointing as it's in line with the strong update at the interims. It just hasn't surprised to the upside or the down, but based on net profit for H1 being 32m, which was double last year, and it being 2nd half and 4th quarter weighted, we can expect a good end of year result. Also has a continuously growing cash pile which is always helpful. I think people may have been expecting more so have sold off today, and expect it could fall in ST and then move back to high 200s at end of year. | jamessmith23
12/11/2020 07:47 | Update disappointing | az4hr
06/11/2020 15:33 | oh yes 3rd qtr TU. Thanks for that JS i had not marked it in my diary. Have a good weekend. | dicktrade
06/11/2020 15:15 | Trading statement last year was 8 November, would expect something similar next week. The fact that they've said H2 should be better than H1 and H1 was already very strong bodes well but we shall see. I added today as the price has drifted back down again to 290. | jamessmith23
06/11/2020 14:39 | Big week next week.Should see us clear £3. | phatprofit
08/9/2020 12:01 | It's come across strong resistance in 310 area, made 3 failed attempts yo breach. Nothing but a Backtest occurring presently.Keep holding for 350+ | phatprofit
07/9/2020 22:31 | US market falls last few days might have something to do with it. | shortiet
07/9/2020 16:02 | What's dragging this down today? Market is having a really good day while SPT is falling? | sabzahmed
17/8/2020 21:11 | Hi all, My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a ‘Twin Petes Investing’ Podcast a few days ago and part of our discussion covers SPT and the potential for 5G. We also chatted about loads of other Stocks and we managed to include a lot of educational stuff in this one – things like how much Research you need to do and what to consider regarding Retirement. Anyway, if you use Apple, Audioboom, Overcast or Spotify you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want TPI Podcast 29) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful, Cheers, WD @wheeliedealer | thewheeliedealer

08/8/2020 13:08 | "Spirent jumped after Stifel added the network-testing kit maker to its 'buy' list.A trading update from Spirent this week demonstrated a turnround for the group's Lifecycle Assurance division, which has been disappointing for two years. With group revenues surging 15 percent year on year in the first half,Spirent appeared to be landing delayed customer contracts with key clients and moving towards a more software and services-led model over the medium term, which would boost gross margins and reduce business cyclicality, the broker told clients ".Sat FT 8 Aug | steeplejack
06/8/2020 12:07 | Despite a weak market,I'm surprised that the stock has fallen on these figures.Maybe the analysts meeting at 12-30 will see the stock recover. | steeplejack
