27/11/2007 08:17 | 17% drop after a 61% gain yesterday is pretty normal pattern, you would expect to get 25000 online after a 17% drop, but you can't, you can only buy just less than 1000 pounds worth! | outsider
26/11/2007 16:31 | Feels like a sell in the background with the spread closed and the way buys are being soaked up | battlebus
26/11/2007 14:44 | I hope so, but to be honest I don't expect to see it until the end of this week. | outsider

26/11/2007 14:21 | they will give you 0.5p above bid (12.5p) for 25,000 if you wish to sell. | outsider
26/11/2007 14:19 | Just checked online, you can only buy 5,000 now at full offer of 14p. | outsider
26/11/2007 13:41 | Yes, the price was an excellent opportunity in retrospect because Cavendish had a change of manager and dumped a six figure amount of stock, which knocked the price from 14.5p to 10p.....however his timing was unluckly and had his sells not happened I think these would be +4p on a 14.5p base price making 18.5p middle, but they will I feel fairly confident catch up later in the next week or two to sit around 20p and still be good value. Well done on the timing of your top up. | outsider
26/11/2007 13:36 | Hi Outsider looks like my faith in the co will be rewarded. As far as i see this is now a recovery stock and extremely cheap at these prices. The market has as ever prices towards the future just as they did when profits were tumbling the market will take a view that profits will return and thus have marked the price up today.I have no doubt the interims in March will be bad compared to previous years but in my opinion a recovery has already begun and the share price will reflect this. | battlebus
26/11/2007 13:25 | Yes that's why I sold out in the mid 20's dell.....But history is history the price has fallen from 90p to 9p to buy at one stage, at sometime this will recover and the news indicates that the true turnaround has only just begun. The best multi-baggers are the ones that are acheiving good turnover (as Spectrum are) who can get the loss makers out the way (as spectrum are) and concentrate on the highly profitable (Spectrum today announced "healthy profitability") areas and fast growing areas of the business. Don't forget Spectrum have tied up some quality long term contracts till 2011 & 2014.....I can undersand your views, but making money is sometimes about taking a bit of risk, and the risk isn't even that high here in my opinion.....and also looking to the future not the past! I think we should have an interesting recovery stock here, 20m t/o & 2m profit (in the not too distant future) is not unrealistic, and the market cap, is only about 4m now. As I said earlier stay away or try to short.....but there will be buyers around. | outsider
26/11/2007 13:13 | Outsider - PBT trend: First half H1 2005 £1217k profit H1 2006 £1214k profit H1 2007 £747k profit Second half H2 2005 £509k profit H2 2006 £45k profit H2 2007 £655k loss Grim isn't it? Rgds dell All IMHO, DYOR etc. | dell314
26/11/2007 12:54 | they made money before the hit & tax amortisation charge etc, as I said earlier it looks like the 'kitchen sink' has been thrown at last accounts for a 'clean start', which is often what many companies do. Profit before tax, amortisation and impairment charge: £0.6m (2006 £1.7m) But dell if you don't trust them.....simple...do I have always thought it would come good just wished they had acted sooner pulling out loss making payphones. | outsider
26/11/2007 12:49 | Surely, there's going to be more pain before any gain here? They lost £655k in the last second half even before the exceptional £4.8mln hit!! I wouldn't believe any public domain figures for this company, as they've been consistently wrong... All IMHO, DYOR etc. Rgds dell | dell314
26/11/2007 12:30 | I understand SYP have now altered their underperform rating (since March) to "BUY" and furthermore they expect debt to fall from 4.5m to 3.8m by the end of next June! | outsider
26/11/2007 09:20 | Not much comment on today's very good news, so I guess I may as well talk to myself. As I understand it, the expectations are for 2p eps, according to digital look and SYP, we should be on a prospective p/e of circa 5 just on expecations alone of 2p eps. The good news being not only are we meeting expectations, but trading ahead of them. | outsider
26/11/2007 08:03 | I am pleased to report that trading in the first four months of the 2007-8 financial year has been above market expectations. not often spectrum have said that! | outsider
26/11/2007 07:21 | Spectrum Interactive PLC 26 November 2007 AGM Statement Spectrum Interactive plc (SIN:LN), the public internet and payphone operator, will hold its Annual General Meeting today at 12pm at Citigate Dewe Rogerson, 3 London Wall Buildings, London, EC2M 5SY. Lord Young of Graffham, Chairman of Spectrum, will make the following statement to shareholders: Welcome to the third AGM of Spectrum Interactive plc since our flotation in April 2005. I am pleased to report that trading in the first four months of the 2007-8 financial year has been above market expectations. In particular, our WiFi business is performing very well. In the period from June to October 2007 we have installed WiFi services into over 250 hotels, and the roll-out of WiFi into all UK Travelodge hotels is nearing completion. As part of our strategy to transform the business into an interactive services company, we have been steadily decreasing our reliance on payphone income and since the beginning of 2007 we have de-installed approximately 1,000 under-performing units. This will continue in 2008 although at a slightly slower rate, enabling us to re-invest the savings into our growing interactive business. At the same time, on 1 October 2007 we commenced our new advertising contract with Clear Channel covering all of our street payphones, which has enhanced the viability of our payphone estate. We are also in the process of installing internet terminals and payphones into Heathrow Terminal 5 in readiness for the opening in March 2008. The outlook for the remainder of the financial year is encouraging. As the dependency on payphone income further reduces we expect income from interactive services to become predominant and this consistently growing business is demonstrating healthy gross margins and profitability. Finally, as a board, we are acutely aware of the disappointing trading performance of the business in the last financial year which has been reflected in the share price. This is a business undergoing radical change, and our vision for the future is to complete that transformation, produce a successful long-term growth strategy and deliver shareholder value. We believe we are well on track to do this. Lord Young of Graffham Chairman 26 November 2007 | outsider
