Blimey, it didn't take much volume to spike up to 163p. If only Simon's articles got as much of a lemming following as they used to. Too bad most of them have lost alot of money in the markets over the last year...But then what does that say about the quality of Simon's tips? Sell signal for Spectra holders? :)

Still time to buy, it goes xd on 17/11 and it gets paid on 02/12. Next div due July 2023, so possibly 10p returned over just 9 months, I bought more today at 48p. Good steady business.
I did think we may get a few more buyers of Spectra after that Simon T note but think his following is much diminished. Spectra still my biggest holding and my biggest hope.

Same story over at STCM.L although I think peeps are catching on. Could have bought at your leisure over the last months at 31-36 and now even at 49 you can lock in a 10% divi paid in December and a further divi expected next July giving another 10% plus an appreciating share price AIMHO You can lead a horse to water ...

I wouldn't call it a buy note as such, but @smallcompanychampion a more positive piece inferring PI's are missing the opportunity here backed by the dividend, in favour of gambling in blue sky story stocks.

I am not sure what your agenda is here. However, if you had followed he stock for any period of time then you would have been well aware that the advertised spread is almost always advertised at 10% to 15%. It has been like that for all the time I have been invested here, it can usually be bought/ sold for 5% unless volume kicks in.

I agree the stock has been in a downtrend and it is easy to argue that it still is. You could also now argue it has been moving sideways (consolidating) for over 12 months and has recently tried to break out of a 160p resistance.

Whilst I have been very critical of the Co's communications and change of PI interactions ( i cringed at the first Proactive interview when the CEO claimed the stock was worth such and such), the flow of positive news has continued and seems to have been ignored by the market in these difficult times.

Compare this to every other stock In your portfolio then you will be delighted with spectra"s performance..unless you're short !!
