I'm sure there are no special arrangements But with any broker you ask if they can tier comm with size of trade I'm sure if they charge 1.5pct for 10k Trads they won't charge 1.5pcf for 150k trade !!As I said pm me if you are strugglingTo find a broker with reasonable charges

Thanks for the imput from all regarding brokers, I contacted Redmayne Bently today, apparently any "special arrangement" over the commision charged would only be considered after a client had been a customer for "some time" otherwise refer to fees and charges. I won't mention it again as it is rather off topic. Meanwhile back in Spectra land the shares just got a bit cheaper making anyone using their dividend as a top up even better value. 3800

Are you still with them after that shakeypremis? and do you get the £40 a trade that nico115 has mentioned? Using their above mentioned fees and charges sheet a 100k deal with them would cost almost £575 in commision. In the past I have used Charles Stanley the last trade I did with them was an illiquid small cap which had to be done over the phone and cost me over £320 in commision (this was a over 100k trade) I didn't mind paying that but when they wanted to charge an extra £500 a year to have a Crest sponsored account with them I went down to just 2 brokers. I have considered IG in the past but am not sure if they do telephone trades or not. 3800

3800, yes am referring to Redmayne Bentley. I should add that once they realised what they had done they did try to do what they could to help me. Turned out to be nothing they could do as it was all down to me to get my certificate reissued.

Agreed but 6 pounds is too low imho as when Trubrand gains traction we will be on a pe of 20 and then shortly after we will be the major global substrate provider and then there is no limit to our upside Your 6 pound target is too conservative imho but we shall see.

Meanwhile I'm surprised we aren't 150pToday It's plainly obvious we are going to have a beat to expectations on top of the increased forecasts in March 6m Pbt vs 4.6m forecast from start of year Madness Let them all chase when the beat is announced instead of picking stock up bid side In Nabil we trust 10 pounds is still my target

I was at Schweder so my stuff came over I deal in quite decent size so I wouldn't pay 1pct for let's say 100k of stock as that would cost me 1k !!

Were you refering to Redmayne Bentley who you had trouble with shakeypremis? I just got the scale of charges off this fee sheet nico115 www.redmayne.co.uk/RedmayneBentley/media/Redmayne-Bentley/Forms and Brochures/19-06_Execution-Only-Stockbroking-Schedule-of-Charges-RB0172.pdf do you have a "special arrangement" with them if you trade a lot? I use both iii and EQi (Selftrade), in the past with both of them I have been able to pay more to speak to a dealer who would work a bigger deal for me but now both firms just seem to use call centre staff who just put a limit order on for you if you are over the size which can be traded online. I wouldn't mind paying more than internet brokerage rates for a good service if anyone has any good recommendations but not over £200 for a 20k trade.

They lost my share certificate through sheer incompetence. They sent it to the registrar via UPS and it got lost in customs. Obviously that wasn't their fault but they never bothered to check where it was for an entire 8 weeks saying it was with a bank in Canada when it wasn't. I forced them to find out where it was and check tracking (which they hadn't done) and UPS had indeed lost it. I was able to get it re-issued but what a waste of time and cost me some money as I couldn't sell them at the price I wanted to. Will never use them again after that experience. Absolutely pathetic.

Cheap and functional 3800, unless you want to communicate with them. Get what you pay for really. If they operated a DRIP it would be better.
