10/7/2020 15:29 | They lost my share certificate through sheer incompetence. They sent it to the registrar via UPS and it got lost in customs. Obviously that wasn't their fault but they never bothered to check where it was for an entire 8 weeks saying it was with a bank in Canada when it wasn't. I forced them to find out where it was and check tracking (which they hadn't done) and UPS had indeed lost it. I was able to get it re-issued but what a waste of time and cost me some money as I couldn't sell them at the price I wanted to. Will never use them again after that experience. Absolutely pathetic. | shakeypremis
10/7/2020 13:45 | I find them excellent Costs me 40 qd for 20k Not too expensive and my broker is beyond efficient | nico115
10/7/2020 12:46 | Cheap and functional 3800, unless you want to communicate with them. Get what you pay for really. If they operated a DRIP it would be better. | argylerich

09/7/2020 07:15 | Nice steady small contract win from a central bank (no riff raff customers for SPSY). 521k this year. Probably not in this years estimates so as in previous years the estimates only go one way :-) | fft

07/7/2020 14:59 | Agreed ,high barriers to entry ,high margins ,solid safe clients (central banks ),ceo a genius, innovating products ,inventing new products ,increasing profits ,increasing dividends ,increasing cash pile ,buying back stock, diversifying into different areas,a number of huge game changers, main player in polymer/substrate market..what's there not to like 10 pounds target ..450m market cap | nico115
07/7/2020 14:51 | I think it (SPSY) was quite cheap in March when I bought a load more in the low 80's :) | shakeypremis
07/7/2020 14:06 | I have a position size limit per individual company. Does anyone else do that? It's a a buffer against bad news, and to avoid being overweight. But I also need to be flexible and run my winners. What do I like? Steady EPS growth, good prospects, and income. I don't know if this is true but it seems like all three sectors would have barriers to entry. Hence it's a quality business with a moat - supported by the figures showing decent margins (33%) and return on capital (15%). It's not cheap, but then people are talking about Sopheon (SPE) on value threads these days. It was quite Zulu-like at one point but the Slater PEG ratio is too high at the moment. | floatupstream
06/7/2020 07:11 | What do you mean it didn't fit into the plan ?What do you like about Spectra ? | nico115
05/7/2020 19:01 | Great to see the resurgence of this super company, 7% of my portfolio now. Topped up on the dips and wanted more but it didn't fit into the plan. I'd call it a strategy.. but as Pirate Captain Barbossa says "the code is more what you'd call guidelines than actual rules". | floatupstream
03/7/2020 20:28 | Shame wanna sell some | nico115 |
