Yes nic he will be paid less 30% hence my need to move it across to AJBell. If you have signed a W8 BEN form which you really ought to have done you will get the divi -15% in your Isa and divi -0% in your Sipp. If you have not signed a W8 BEN or have an account with Halifax/Iweb you will receive divi -30% in your Isa and Sipp.

The Halifax nonsense with the 30% deduction regardless of having the paperwork in place has been around on this board for over two years so people have had plenty of time to move the holdings if they read the board.

6.16p per share received in H&L ISA and dealing accounts. I'd calculated in the region of 7p gross after xe rates, so looks like 15% withheld. I'll wait and see what AJ Bell do with the SIPP.

scooper72 So no 15% taken off the HL ISA dividend? Nice, but is that correct?

Yep. I got all mine in my HL account both my ISA and SIPP. Nice that some companies are still paying out income to their shareholders.

I think Halifax and ergo Iweb are at 30% tax and no exceptions for stocks and shares isa's and Sipps after last years fiasco. I complained, it started a big case whereby they looked at all US sourced dividends. They agreed to withhold only 15% in Isa and 0% in Sipp but stated in a letter that they would henceforth withhold the full 30%. This from the Iweb site 'For UK listed shares paying US sourced dividends a 30% Withholding Tax rate is applied even if you have a W-8BEN form in place' I had to move my shares across to AJBell over the last few months. Very short sighted of Halifax/Iweb, bound to have seen a lot of full and or partial transfers of sipps and isas.

Should be 15% unless in a SIPP and then the tax in nil.

My friend says Halifax is taxing his dividend at 30 pct cos it's not in crest This is nonsense no ?

Isn't there something quirky about the SPSY dividend? From memory they pay outside the CREST system which means some brokers wait for the cheque to clear before paying out.

Very pleased to see the board finally get the buy back into gear. Authority to buy back for cancellation 4.5M shares so plenty more to go at should they wish to. With the share price down from around 160 only a few weeks ago it's a good level to buy at imo.
