Third quarter results should be out in the third week of November.

Crazy. Getting very oversold. Could do with a production RNS to clarify progress with monetization. Maybe the delays with South Ramadan have bored a few in to selling.

pmf - Yes, I did mention in my write-up that the extent to which he talked about the roll-up opportunity seemed a bit strange if he expected to sealing a very big deal in the near future (indigestion and all that).

My take was that it was a negotiation tactic - but you're right he likely knew at that stage it was dead in the water.

Looking at slide 14 and the Basal Kes prospectivity (which I don't think we've seen before), multiplying the mean figure by the CoS and that by $2.65 and then again by the 55% WI and the 40% tax and adding them all up I get $80m. There's tax and needing to account for the discount aspect of the cashflow. Not too shabby and not there before.

Happy to have my sums corrected.

If only the oil & gas thingy had been tonight, PW could've told us (as much as is possible) why the deal is not proceeding and what the plans are now. With hindsight, I guess he knew then the deal was dead. I did think when I watched it that he wasn't quite his usual self, he seemed less enthused than normal but maybe he was just tired after a long day at the office. My dream of coming out of suspension with a superb deal and the shares opening up at 150p+ is over (for now)!

On Tuesday night (having watched the video of the oil & gas thingy), PW said he expects SDX to reach TD 'within 30 days' on SRM3. It spudded on 14/6/18 so if it does reach TD around 15/11/18, that'll have been a total of 154 days (assuming they drill everyday). It was originally expected to take 'up to 90 days' so I guess it's been a more difficult drill than expected?

lol, I bet we are going to get double whammied with a South Ramadan failure. It was never made out like it was going to succeed and it was a low cost commitment well for SDX but that doesn't mean the share price won't get marked down.

I'd rather SDX mopped up some of the smaller operators in the area which are easier to swallow, than over stretch on mature BP assets.

I'm interested as to why the South Ramadan drilling is taking so long. I have my doubts about this one due to it being a commitment well and PW saying it's none core although I know that's down to drilling costs offshore.

Matchmade, yep, that's SDX. Goes down/stagnates on good news, goes down on no news, goes down on bad news.

Technically speaking we are in a rising channel. But the gradient is so shallow it is excruciating. I wish my portfolio were larger because if it were I would be backing up the truck here (again)!

Yes, the share price has tanked. Maybe there are some shareholders who had no idea the BP deal was an option before the shares are suspended, and now think the company's shares are worth less because the BP deal failed to happen. Duh.

Or the MMs are marking the price down in the hope they will entice some PIs to panic sell.

Or some shareholders think they should catch up with last week's general sell-off, which was accompanied by a drop in POO, even though SDX never went up with the rising POO in the first place.

Or perhaps PW's announcement in the recent presentation that we are unlikely to get more than $2.65 for our new Egyptian gas has disappointed people, and they've marked the share price down accordingly, even though (again) the market has given the company almost no increased valuation in the first place for South Disouq coming online by the end of 2018.

The share price is (was) virtually the same now as it was in March 2017, despite the subsequent dramatically increased POO and all the exploration discoveries and the upcoming commercial deliveries. It's as though none of it ever happened . . .

SDX/BP - No deal better than bum deal! Overpaying for that "reverse takeover" could have seen SDX ganz gezunken! We have an asset rich cash producing company & I'd rather not chuck it at some overpriced old wells. Seems like the obese brussels bureaucrats need the same treatment....

I am not too bothered about that. I think SDX has enough quality assets and want to see them hit 8000 BOEPD before further acquisitions.

I prefer the strategy to acquire small players in the region.

The suspension also protected us from a couple of rough weeks on the markets. :)
