10/10/2018 15:58 | I'd certainly be inclined to see those tweets as positive. The implication clearly is they have things to discuss relating to the possible deal, which in turn applies they've had some progress with BP that's given them something worthwhile to talk about. However, let's not forget that at the moment all we have is knowledge that they were talking to BP about some sort of deal. We don't know what the deal would be, nor is there any certainty of discussions ending positively. So I'm keeping any optimism firmly under control at the moment!Peter | ![]() greyingsurfer
10/10/2018 15:48 | If the meetings had not gone to plan, I doubt they'd be broadcasting them and the people involved may not have been too keen for that to happen either. Since the gov't likely has a sign-off on any deal, I'd imagine that this is as close as they can get to saying something positive without having to RNS it. Good news to discuss on the investor meeting on the 16th Oct? | ![]() haideralifool

10/10/2018 15:36 | A couple of Tweets from SDX about them meet Egyptian officials. Is the deal now a done deal? | ![]() shakeypremis

09/10/2018 16:20 | Not at all sure why you think SDX "might" get a better price for Egyptian gas than BP has managed | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
09/10/2018 15:52 | That's why I said the increased spot price AND perhaps greater volume of gas due to possible GUPCO acquisition MIGHT help SDX get a better price for SD gas. | ![]() shakeypremis
09/10/2018 15:19 | Although the current oil price isn't hurting the gas price in Morocco! ;-#)) Re the US, it would be ironic if they get a prolonged severe Winter this year, some folk will freeze due to localised supply problems...... because stocks are a bit tight historically as they've been freezing gas for export.... | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
09/10/2018 14:01 | TGG is perhaps being a little too cryptic for those who are not well versed in the O&G sector. Perhaps I could expand a little. Most of the gas sold all over the world is not, unlike oil, sold at a spot price but rather at a price set in a long term contract. It matters not a jot if the spot price of gas at the Henry Hub in the US moves up or down. What matters is what is written in the contracts between SDX and its customers. For new contracts being negotiated, the influence of HH spot prices is still little or nothing. What matters is local supply and local demand and also the price controls imposed by the state. | ![]() tournesol
09/10/2018 13:05 | Longer we stay suspended, the more chance of the deal happening. Big question is at what dilution (if any) - this will be material in determine any future share price | ![]() darola
09/10/2018 12:26 | I think we would all rather get a good deal, than rush and pay over the odds - I am in no rush but expect if we get a deal, to be very very well rewarded! | ![]() ballymoss18
09/10/2018 12:04 | Ah, I see! SDX are planning to ship any Egyptian gas they may produce to the US to take advantage of HH prices. | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
09/10/2018 11:49 | Geraldo, the market price for gas is now US$3.35/mcf (as I am typing). This combined with maybe them picking up gas assets from GUPCO may help them get a better price for their SD gas which we are currently all expecting to be priced at US$2.65/mcf. | ![]() shakeypremis
09/10/2018 10:33 | The gas price has increased where? | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
09/10/2018 09:28 | Could be quite some time yet. I'm surprised though at how quiet the rumor mill is - given everyone that is likely to be involved in discussions you would think that something would have leaked! | ![]() ifthecapfits

04/10/2018 20:22 | People are forgetting the gas price has increased too. While gas sales are contracted perhaps it will help them getting a better deal from the Egyptian government for SD gas. | ![]() shakeypremis
03/10/2018 20:05 | During the suspension oil has increased by circa $10 a barrel so there is probably 5p+ missing off the price for larger market moves. | ![]() brasso3
03/10/2018 12:40 | Don't think they "need" anything. We are already substantially undervalued, i will be fuming if we issue new equity at any discount. | ![]() franki8
03/10/2018 12:21 | I speculate that the suspension was "pushed" a little - as they "need" depressed price a a basis for the new equity. which could be issued at a further discount. hur treatment like | ![]() kaos3
03/10/2018 11:55 | Anybody working for SDX able to say roughly (several days or weeks / months) it will be before the deal may or may not be confirmed with BP; and the shares relisted? | ![]() bostonborn
02/10/2018 18:19 | I think this suspension is a win-win. If they don't cut a deal then no doubt Mr.Market will hammer the S.P. once trading resumes...but Hey-Ho it was massively undervalued imho before the sus so I will be buying some more. If on the other hand a deal is cut (and I can't see PW signing us up to a bad one) then one would expect that to be reflected in a rising S.P. I will be happy with either outcome. | ![]() ride daice |
