BP deal's off. Shares will resume trading. Can't see the news item on the RNS's, but it's on the company website.

SDX Energy Inc. (TSXV, AIM: SDX), the North Africa focused oil and gas company, announces that, further to the announcement made on 20 September 2018, discussions regarding its proposed acquisition of a significant package of assets in Egypt from BP have been terminated by mutual agreement.
The Company has requested for the restoration of trading on both AIM and the TSX Venture Exchange.
SDX continues, in line with its stated strategy, to review and pursue inorganic growth opportunities across its areas of operations in North Africa.

Here's the slide I'd not seen before (pic off my phone):

The prospects are named after members of the Egyptian football team.

Young (the oil prospect that has people excited) is scheduled for H2 2019.

In his presentation he used the word 'testing' with reference to Peugeot and the gas supply. That got me a bit worried and so I asked about whether the purchase agreement was subject to the results of the testing and apparently not.

When I asked about the pipeline extension from Lalla Mimouna, he said it was already built and supplying gas. Dunno if I am way behind the curve or a misunderstanding.

He also had the roll-up opportunity slide at the very end and spent a little time talking about it and the potential for consolidation amongst the smaller players.

I'd imagine if the BP deal comes off, it'll take a while to digest. And talk of further M&A would be redundant for a while. So not sure what to make of his reference to M&A. Perhaps a signal to BP that we have other options?

Just to reiterate, there was no hint when the deal may conclude or suspension removed.

I'd rather hope there's a sharp focus on s/holder value, rather than some random big number on the production front.
