Dozy - the NPV takes into account the caped costs that’s why it’s called the NPV. And yes he’s saying we can sell Alpala for 67% of the NPV Cz the true NPV is not $4.4bn but $6bn based on my model using current gold price, keeping Copper at $3.3 which is reasonable given the major shortages about to happen in 2022.

Next week or so I will issue my analysis on my website for all to read.

I thought Ingo was supposed to be an expert. To extrapolate a price paid 'at the 1% margin' for anything is economically illiterate. And to go on to say anyone wanting to buy 100% at that extrapolated price - which happens to be 2/3rds Alpala's NPV and therefore (after the buyer funds the capex on top) would cost him $5.5bn to acquire a $4.5bn NPV - is not only illiterate and innumerate - but would be a credit to the spivviest City barrow boy !

Ingo mentioned on yesterday’s LATAM interview that the Franco deal valued 85% of Alpala at $3bn.

By inference, if anyone wants to buy Alpala’s 85% they need to pay us $3bn which is 115p/share at today’s rates. Add in a premium for the other sites and takeover is actually possible at 125-150p. That is cheap in NM’s eyes...gna happen Very soon.

Happy days

Looks like price was being held down as there was a massive order to fill at 25.85 in today’s after hours auction.
Breaks should be let loose next week.

I see Ingo talking to Reuter’s about M&A activity rising in June July n August as countries end restrictions. We might be taken over before we know it!

Interesting closing auction.

The sellers loaded up the sell side at anywhere from 25.20 and a 700k as well. Buyers jumped in taking the lot at 25.85 .

Very strong response imho.

Thanks for that pob. Looks like they are trying to learn lessons and avoid the local court cases experienced by SOLG and others. It's clear that the local communities have a lot of influence on the mining process and so anything which can help bring everyone together and agree a way forward at the outset has to be welcomed.

Of importance to Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.

The Ecuadoran government is working on a new framework to regulate the process of prior consultation for mining projects in order to facilitate their development and strengthen legal security.

"We aspire to have this regulation ready in August after the respective consultations with all those involved [...] for an aspect as important and vital for legal security as is the prior consultation," the country's deputy mines minister Fernando Benalcázar told BNamericas.

"The state will always carry out the consultation and the mining ministry supervise it."

Cornerstone has risen 20% today on the strongest volume for 6 months at 6-7 times the daily average over that period.

News soon finally! NM did say “big premium” on CGP price.

No spike chasing herd present at the moment. For sure any unexpected news will rocket us sooner or later. I give it 4 months.
Why can’t the directors buy is the question ;)
How much more left to hit $2.7bn...😁

Fantastic news for copper...green infrastructure at the heart of Europe's $826 billion recovery program...

hxxps://techcrunch.com/2020/05/27/5g-ai-cybersecurity-and-renewable-energy-set-for-investment-boost-under-eu-coronavirus-recovery-plan/

"On the green deal front, it’s touting:

A massive renovation wave of our buildings and infrastructure and a more circular economy, bringing local jobs;
Rolling out renewable energy projects, especially wind, solar and kick-starting a clean hydrogen economy in Europe;
Cleaner transport and logistics, including the installation of one million charging points for electric vehicles and a boost for rail travel and clean mobility in our cities and regions;"

Then add in US infrastructure and China's 'Belt & Road' and copper will soar...

AIMHO as usual...

I think CGP are being played by SOLG exactly right. They have a take it or leave it offer. If they leave it, they'll need to find almost 0.5bn in a little over a year. They can't do the offtake financing and so need to find someone with deep pockets to bail them out. At some stage, they'll capitulate and accept the offer.

Still think DGR is a cheap way to piggyback SOLG, but probably too late now with the Equity issue completed...Glad I applied for far more shares...got the lot and the warrants in for free...in capital terms, I ended up with the market effectively paying for half the cost of my new shares...

I'm no longer in CGP because I think it is being really badly managed and it is just possible Nick will bleed them dry rather than take them over...

Only downside is they'll have to keep selling SOLG shares to stay in business...

AIMHO as usual...

We will get an RNS on:
1) Tuesday next week stating “Operations are up and running in Ecuador”
2) Before the end June stating the site visit is over and we now have $100m in the bank
3) Before the end of July on exploration targets And possible funding of $2.7bn secured
4) Before the end of August on Permits and Cornerstone takeover
5) Before the 1st September on PFS
6) Anytime a bid for the company if gold carries on reaching new heights.

I suspect whoever buys SOLG will also buy Cornerstone at the same time. BHP and Newcrest making big moves, with RioTinto and Barrick on the hunt for copper and gold too.

Anyone could make a bid at anytime. We are about to take off well before the year end. I would take 80p if before the PFS comes out. If not, we wait for £1.50 in 1 year’s time.
