Meanwhile back at Solg, it's plain that NM has a demonstrable course to production which in my view adds considerable value to the enterprise, since this puts NM in a much stronger negotiating position when dealing with would-be acquirers.

The deal didn't 'value' the co at multiples etc. It valued the first 1% of revenue. You of course have never heard of 'marginal' pricing, just as you've never heard of other business concepts. As for anyone 'never saying anything positive' - are you truth's gatekeeper or something ? The more you say, the more you show yourself both unbalanced, and ignorant. Why not filter everyone on the board, and then filter yourself/. When I started posting regularly I had thought this board showed promise of being sensible and professional. Then you came along.

DD, I don't doubt your maths and everything I have read confirms that streaming deals are an expensive form of finance. However, the alternative at this stage in the lifecycle would be more equity and the level of dilution required to raise 150m makes the streaming deal look very attractive. The next finance they need is for our other projects and I'm struggling to see what mechanism they will use for that?

LT - and pob - If you do the maths - as I have for a number of streaming deals - you will find that a typical streaming deal is the equivalent of repaying a bank loan at 2-3 times its interest rate. It depends of course on what happens to the price of the commodity concerned. Streaming deals consist of agreeing to take the metal at a fixed price (usually) about 1/3rd prevailing, which means as the price rises, the producer foregoes more and more of the increasing value. Ergo a bank loan is much cheaper. Why else do you suppose the streamers have all substantially outperformed any other type of company ?
And why else does the Vares deal have more value ? And how else was Orion able to sell its Lundin stream to Newcrest at 50% more than the funds it gave to Lundin less than 3 years before ?

Really interesting blog from large holders of Adriatic, ADT1, (currently taking over Tethyan to create first mover major in the Balkans). Interesting comments on those who like the Solgold story SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador and looking for another company with similar growth opportunities (I hold) - worth noting Paul Cronin awarded 'CEO of the Year' at Mines & Money London last year after Nick Mather the year before...

"...A recent NSR transaction was where the market-leading royalty company, Franco-Nevada, created a 1% NSR over Solgold's Alpala project in exchange for US$100 million. This project is at a similar stage to Adriatic with a PEA/scoping study having been completed in 2019. The NSR was sold over this project to fund DFS study costs vs Adriatic that would require capital to bring the Vares project into production. An NSR created over the Vares project would be highly sought after and highly valued given the world-class nature of the orebody, project financial metrics and near-production status; and we believe may attract a similar valuation as the Solgold royalty."

Mk, poor decision putting DD on filter. They have a different and valuable perspective. The SOLG quarterly return shows them with very little cash end March. I have re-read the offtake announcement and the funding received can only be used at Cascabel. This means they must raise funding for our other projects very soon.I'm not an expert on mining finance but I thought yesterday's video on streaming finance was very informative. One of my takeaways from that was explorers need to avoid debt finance unless linked to end delivery. Ingo needs to come up with something innovative to avoid an equity raise.

Thinking big! Nick Mather interview (by the hosts of the recent webinar with the Minister of Mining who are familiar with the story) Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador

"...We do not see ourselves being part of any corporate consolidation. ... Our hands are full. We are also building our management and mine construction teams. I am confident we will discover many ore bodies once we get going. The project areas that really stand out to us currently are Chical, Rio, Amarillo, Sharug, Porvenir, La Hueca 6, Chillanes, and Cisne Loja. But we have around 13 priority project areas in Ecuador."

"... There could well be more on the Cascabel license. ... Alpala can get bigger yet, and it might be just the first of maybe 10 deposits throughout the Ecuadorian Andeans."

"... Our aim is to ultimately have several tier-one copper-gold mines operating in Ecuador and make Ecuador the greatest copper-producing nation on earth. That goal is achievable within 20 years,"

"...If we can have five projects working under the SolGold banner over the next 20 years, we can deliver in excess of USD80 billion a year in extra income for Ecuador, which will completely change everything for Ecuadorians."

"...We hope to have the definitive feasibility study out after 2Q2021, after which we hope to be in construction within nine months."

No answer . You are not a politician by chance are you .

The question was ..

What would you do to raise monies if you was in NM shoes .

So you were in Solgold in the beginning just not now . .. is what you are trying to say .

MKn - I've always suspected you have a muddled mind. I've been following and writing about Solg for 10 years or so. I was the first to strongly recc in 2016 and went in heavily myself. What I've done since is not your business. Your other complaint has been answered already,

DD

The last one did .

This one might just be talking about an RNS on funding that broke Monday or Tuesday .

When are you going to admit you dont own shares ? If you do own shares but hate everything about the company you are more crazy than me .

I have you worked out DD you are a paid deramper or a psyco .

Btw you never did answer the question of .. what would you do ? You never will either too frightened to make a mistake .

The webinar's not likely to throw much light on further funding. anything significant would have to be rns's at the time - unlikely to coincide

McKn - re 400m dilution alternative - only goes to show what a bind NM is in

And going to $1bn would be suicidal. The banks want first call on revenues to repay their loans. If they're to be in a queue after the first 10% they won't play

Ecuador unlocking - while SOLG doesn't drill - will put pressure on NM to do something - anything ! Otherwise he'll be revealed with no clothes at all at all !

Excellent news for mining companies in Ecuador Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador

....This Friday, May 15, the National Emergency Operations Committee COE issued the favorable opinion to maintain and resume mining activities in the country, with the approval of the Biosecurity Prevention Protocol for the Mining Sector against the COVID Pandemic -19.

With this decision, in the next few days the process of reactivation of mining operations will begin in all its phases, which until May 15 reported a 60% stoppage nationwide.

Just to add i think NM will take it to a billion 10% of the company .Banks would be more interested in funding a project that has 33 percent of the money funded .Maybe a chunk with be finaced by CITI .

I would not expect BHP or Newcrest to be funding us for anymore than 100 million shares if atall .

If they want Solgold let them bid for the 90 % that will be left . At least shareholder will get a decent price .

You raise a fair point in that yes it was sponsored by streaming companies.

I wouldn't want shares to be diluted as per what MK has pointed out, and I couldn't have put it better than what Quady has expressed on LSE @9:32am today.
I personally think NM picked the best option.

DD - how would you have played it if you were NM and what would you have done differently?
