22/5/2020 10:46 | Gave you a thumbs up Arcadian. Loved the prose, we don't see enough romance in our stock market investments. | ![]() lowtrawler
22/5/2020 10:41 | Goodness. In these days of media driven mass depression it's life affirming to read such beautiful prose. Positivity rules except in the share price of course which hopefully will fall a little further so I can average down again. | ![]() husbod
22/5/2020 10:13 | LOw I agree that it had a touch of romance and justifiably so as this is an epic drama which at some point would be worthy of Clark Gable. It has scale and high stakes and we are bit players awaiting the stars to arrive on set. Much better than being an apparatchik or accountant wouldn`t you agree? | ![]() arcadian
22/5/2020 09:52 | Good to see activities commencing onsite at #cascabel Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #ecuador. ...Lidar survey commencing at Cascabel today-creating high quality digital terrain models as design work for site infrastructure begins in earnest. | ![]() pob69

21/5/2020 13:01 | Some interesting material above so thanks Lowtrawler - nice to have the factual heavy lifting duties shared... Here's something I didn't pick up which may peek interest... Article (behind paywall) summarising Nick Mather's comments to Red Cloud earlier in the week much I covered above Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador. One item which had numbers which I didn't mention in response to JVs/farmouts on any of its other Ecuador projects; "...JVs are an extremely good way of giving away value" "...At a couple of billion dollars a throw, no, I'm not willing to farm it out to a larger company." | ![]() pob69
21/5/2020 12:47 | What has happened to make me more more positive regarding the future SOLG share price? 1. Alpala is fully funded to BFS and there is early visibility on funding to production. 2. The Ecuador government are actually joining press conferences in support of SOLG and have become the partner you would want. 3. We have visibility on the sites to be drilled and an understanding about how this will be financed. 4. The Board have come out of purdah and are actually talking to shareholders about their plans. 5. The extent of quantitative easing is going to generate a stock market crash and rush towards commodities / precious metals 6. FNV are an important new partner that will clearly assist in getting the other sites of the ground. A few months ago, we worried about how Alpala and the other sites would be funded. We worried about whether the political situation was stable and we worried about the lack of news flow from the management team. The worries have all been addressed, there is a plan and we have clear sight of the plan. Time to get on board. | ![]() lowtrawler
21/5/2020 11:24 | I've always said that I think a takeover is the most likely outcome for SOLG. However, you play the game you're in, not the game you wish you were in. | ![]() lowtrawler
21/5/2020 11:21 | Lowtrawler Given that the FNV deal won't be concluded for say up to 8 weeks....Newcrest, who publicly showed their disapproval of the deal, have time to make a move.....they can even buy out the FNV deal if it goes ahead. Newcrest themselves must make some moves as there have been reports that they too are in the firing line to be taken over. The takeover of Guyana Goldfields shows what can happen in this space, where another bidder comes in and the terms of the previously negotiated merger had to be significantly increased. Interesting times....and we must be near the top of the list for takeover candidates. Happy to go on the basis that we are moving forward by ourselves.....But a big fish out there casting their line must be a strong possibility.... | ![]() goldrush
21/5/2020 11:12 | I agree with you LT...and I can't see the Directors being able to buy in the foreseeable future... still its not as if NM is shorty of a few shares... | ![]() rougepierre |
