Arcadian it's 23 million oz gold and 11 million tons of copper at Alpala. What will Newcrest do now if anything? No doubt a lot of horse trading is going on behind the scenes quite likely with Cornerstone doing it's best to leverage its 15%!

One piece of good news will propel this big time.

Keep thinking about the market cap.

£350m for one of the worlds biggest copper and gold mines. That’s the only information that matters to me. Got to be worth more than that !!!!

Last chance saloon folks.
Make your minds up.
This solger has decided it is time for one last top up.
Us long term holders have had a pretty grim time of it.
Think talk of t/o 60p is way, way too low. IMHO.
Good Luck.

Thanks.

The market valuations of Lundin and Solg. seem awry. They have 5 million oz

and we have 15 mill. and rising plus a lot of copper. I appreciate that their

financial bits are sorted so we have that to organise but the value gap is still big

and at some point our assets will grow substantially..

Production costs of c.$200 per oz on 310000oz per year gives a good profit p.a.

Question is, will they make a move and if so when? Somebody obviously knows what their plans are. Just wish we did!

On Bloomberg yesterday Ron Hochstein, CEO at Lundin Gold $LUG - Tier 1 Fruta del Norte. Useful reference for $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador SolGold

"Quito back to normal", "supply chains back up and running", "with falling oil price, they know they need mining", "as an industry we were not good at promoting benefits of responsible mining", "confident that they have protection in light of any royalty or nationalisation risks"

I'm also a bit nervous, but have got back in. About 2/3 of what I had before. While I'm not convinced the political situation is resolved just yet, it has settled down somewhat. We are now waiting on the next move. We've had the court case, we've had civil unrest, we must be due some good news.

I think if we get taken out it won't be at the 60p levels but 40p from where we are now would not be bad. If we don't get taken out and take this through to development then it becomes a longer term punt, one that, at these levels is less risky. But who knows for sure!

mknight, the runes would seem to be encouraging, what with Cascabel seemingly recognised as of national importance, and Moreno needing to make something happen to bring in foreign earnings. What else will he do on top of sacking an obstructive official at the water ministry?

The current market cap is very far from the $4.1 to $4.8 billion mooted current value of Alpala. Cornerstone could never cope with contributing their 15% of development costs so they have to do a deal with somebody, or perhaps lose their share by default? With any luck the next few weeks will see where the players are, and what they intend to do.

Well that would certainly seem to make sense Lefrene. Let’s hope we get positive news soon. If we do then the share price should regain lost ground very quickly?

It would be nice to think Moreno is now going to do his best to fast-forward mining as his austerity plans were rejected, and the country needs to see an income source coming along. Time for those government depts to get with the plan!

Thanks pob69

Its worth about 5p a share to me .

Cannot say more than that .

So Permits were held back by the water authority and they have been changed becauae of it tells me Moreno means business .

Interesting to see a today's release from Aurania (Ecuador Lost Cities Project) which reports that the Ecuadorian Government Has Replaced the Head of Senagua - the Water Authority, the institution that manages water resources throughout the country - with Marco Troya.

Aurania states "...Excessive delays in the issuance of water permits for scout drilling have slowed the rate at which Aurania has been able to drill-test its numerous targets in the Lost Cities - Cutucu Project in southeastern Ecuador. Aurania looks forward to working closely with the new administration towards faster permit approvals under the stringent standards demanded by SENAGUA."

Could this remove drilling log-jam for $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador SolGold?

One piece of news could send us to 60p

But more likely NEWCREST pay 30p for Cornerstone.

NM has to release news soon.

Funding or permits or new study by year end or even major change in shareholders eg Newcrest buying cornerstones share.

4 pretty big pieces of news could land in the next 8 weeks.

Would think we would be a lot higher than 19p at the end of it all.

I wonder if the head honcho of CGP for whatever reasons won't sell to NM, but will be happy to sell to Newcrest? Or will nothing at all happen for another 6 months!? I see the price is creeping up in salami slices, not that it means anything.

Yes they may buy Cornerstone . At 19p they might make us an offer lets face it at 60p not too many would turn them down . They have a man on the board so they will know whats going on .

I will still stick with them buying Cornerstone and BHP funding us .

NM had his chancece to buy cornestone and decided not too so we wait and see.
